Fashion is, or at least should be, the primary tool to explore things that have been left untouched and sometimes even out of any common sense of imagination. It's even more than reinvention or reinterpretation, more than a playful use of the limits, the borders, the clichés, the concepts. It's like landing on a unexplored territory: references are requested to know where you are and where you're going to but they're simply a part of the whole process and don't really take part of the final product. Sounds a little abstract. Sounds dangerous, maybe. Walking on the dangerous side. Meeting androgyny, meeting its sense. If it just has one sense ? Find it, imagine it, androgyny is a notion that leaves a limitless place for creation. Creativity. We've seen too much fake, too much ready-made pictures mixing the cheapest ideas about genders and even genders roles. Where it would have been almost necessary to get rid of all that, get rid of the masculine and feminine side, get rid of the thought everything that doesn't relate to one or the other is ridiculously neutral. Fly away from anything lying in between, reach out to new heights and new spaces. See the individual as an individual, teach your eyes how to appreciate the intrinsic beauty of a person. Let yourself been won over by this feeling. Then you can start thinking about references. And instead of comparing everything to them, you'll probably see them with brand new eyes. Make your vision evolve, allow it to go further. Undo the usual process and try the other way round. That's also where the idea of style (personal style) takes its deepest roots. Speak your mind, build your own. Sounds easy. It is. What's hard is to know how to make the easy things come out... easily. Style is the gift to the undone minds. People with a goldfish memory. Forget all you know or all you think you know.
