All you need is Demeulemeester. Well, and Proenza. And a French cover. It makes some precious assets to be reviewed within our subjective reviews right after the shows. Again, it's not a matter of numbers and a well-managed season with the right shows and a cover or editorial just in time will probably leave a stronger mark than being everywhere yet unnoticed in the end. Ann Demeulemeester (see above right) has one of the most interesting casting in Paris. Always. Season after season. Booking Proenza Schouler (above left) is helpful too and when the other shows in NY are called Catherine Malandrino, Kai Kuhne (loved this season's casting) or Karen Walker you can talk about a serious, more than decent line-up for S/S 09. Add a recent editorial in Numéro Tokyo just followed by this French cover (actually the one we've bought out of 13). Then previous cover was for Flair, also remarkable and recent stories in magazines include one of the best by Greg Kadel in Harper's Bazaar, one of the most exciting from Mixte this year (including the cover!) and an unforgettable one in 10. Whatever you can think of her work for a famous brand, we still consider her as the epitome of an editorial girl. Charismatic and chameleon (and wearing leopard prints like almost nobody else).
