A Supreme Sonata: a Jil Sander troika in Numéro

Alana Zimmer, Alyona Osmanova & Vika Kuropyatnikova @ Supreme (NY) How should we call this ? A triple TMSRRE or an editorial review ? Probably a great mix of both. Alana Zimmer, Alyona Osmanova and Vika Kuropnyatkova are all three Jil Sander-girls this season, some of our Supreme favorites and shares the same editorial by Phil Poynter in latest Numéro. Talk about a troika. The winning three. Show after show, editorial after editorial. They just deliver. Good pictures, good moments. We've just featured Alyona after her... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 17: Megan

Megan Butterworth @ Elite (NY), Why Not (Milan), Ford (Paris) She was on her way to Milan when we received these digitals. She already caught the good eyes' attention in NY but finally makes her debuts today at Moschino plus has a showcard ready for Paris. Sounds like excellent and exciting news for Megan, described as ethereal with a beautiful... personality. We couldn't tell much about it as we only saw these pictures of her but attitude clearly shows up on them. Laid-back yet never too carefree, cool yet classy.... [Lire la suite]

Mad about Madisyn

Madisyn Ritland @ Silent (Paris), Iconic (Berlin) Her new editorial in Jalouse came out while she's walking on Milan runways which most remarkable could be Burberry Prorsum or Alberta Ferretti so far. Word is that she's got the alternative cover as well but we haven't been able to find any copy in town. Well, at least we're more than happy with her story inside, brilliantly captured by photographer Ami Sioux. View more here and now.

TMSRRE part 16: Sophie

Sophie Srej @ IMG Her gaze seems rather sullen than sultry and her overall look screams intellectual. No, it doesn't really scream, it whispers carefully. So subtle and made of raw delicacy from head to toe, Sophie Srej brought a slightly melancholic touch to Calvin Klein last season, changing the mood of the exclusive girls, slipping away from the fierceness of Irina Kulikova or the cute light-hearted appeal of Diana Farkhullina that ruled the casting's aesthetic during a few seasons. Sophie Srej and her quiet... [Lire la suite]

Hyper-realist fairy tale: Myf # 101

Myf Shepherd @ Next It's not the first time you see Myf on this page. You might have seen her even recently as she has an editorial in current Mixte. She's also in the newest issue of Numéro. 101. Shot by Matthias Vriens. The gloomy countryside looks like a fantastic playground for Myf, playing seriously. Strange atmosphere and light, timeless pictures like in a hyper-realist fairy tale. Plenty of details yet impossible to tell why they are here, striking some strange poses, the vibe of the last days of the summer oddly... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 15: Toma

Toma Barkova @ Avant (Moscow), Women (NY), Women (Milan), Women (Paris) A girl we both love. The mail said. Who's this model ? Couldn't be many girls. It has to be Toma. It couldn't be anyone else. She has the look for this job. She's got the vibe. Enough emotion. It looks obvious (from her tests by Nikole Demeshik) but we are always too supersticious. No doubt anymore. In German we say the carrots are cooked. In French, the eggs are cooked. In the fashion world we just said Jil Sander took place. And we just say wow. So... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 14: Evelina

Evelina Mambetova @ Premier (London) She already did very well in NY (with Supreme) booking Philip Lim, Malandrino, United Bamboo and our brand new favorite Prabal Gurung. She totally caught our eyes and broke our heart in London. We must say she opened Eley Kishimoto and that's quite a pleasure for us to see as it's one of the shows we're always watching carefully. With the likes of Peter Jensen and John Rocha also on her list, she has quite a strong team of designers behind her. A... [Lire la suite]

Meet Simone !

Simone @ Ulla Models (The Netherlands) Dutch girls. Some of the most talked-about models these days but we couldn't tell what makes them special apart from the high scouting level and huge efforts from agencies there. Simone is another example. There's no other girl like her, no one shares this unique look but the way Ulla Models is pushing her is very special. They are working a lot on her image and it definitely makes the difference (if you check our feature on Madieke a few posts below you'll get... [Lire la suite]

Wanted: Ginta

Ginta Lapina @ Women (NY), Women (Milan), Women (Paris) She just walked for Blugirl a few hours ago. We don't want to sound too odd but we really think it's important to walk Blugirl. It's a good casting, turned to the future. Cast with love then enjoy your team. On a clear day you can see forever. The design of her showcard for Paris suits her like a second skin. Inpired by the Oklahoma-kid, perfect for the lady from Latvia. So dynamic, so Ginta. New York was her town in her own way. She booked Proenza Schouler and just... [Lire la suite]

Photomaton with Lin

Lin White @ Fusion (NY) It's during showtime that we understand how precious are these Photomaton series. Direct comparisons between raw digitals and test shots with more or less precise styling. Writing this kind of little piece is a real pleasure. Delightful and playful for our eyes and quite useful for the day after tomorrow. One of the best example this season is probably Lin White, one of the most exciting newcomers from Fusion in NY. Her showcard caught our eyes and we didn't immediately recognize her. We didn't know it... [Lire la suite]
