Casting at Next: Another way to swim

Kayla Travers, Thea Stratton and Molly Gunn @ Next (Milan) No sand, no sea, no suntan. Another way to swim. Without suntanned skin and wet swimsuits, without these perennial summer nights atmosphere and summertime clichés. Another summer. In black and white, in a studio with a white background. Only the glossy hairdos and chequered shirts add a fancy note to the whole story. The rest is moody like our own summers. First days of full sun, first days of full heat; first days you can't even sleep correctly because the bedroom is... [Lire la suite]

More Sacha, more Blue

Sacha Blue @ IMG (NY) Inside then outside, a multi-tasked model shot by a multi-tasked photographer in a story beginning in front of the pale light escaping from the window, ending on the wet sand next to the sea. Sacha Blue had a graceful little walk on the beach in front of Maxim Repin's camera, adding a little more substance to her portfolio which also includes recent shots by Jonathan Leder (we featured Sacha's polas a few weeks ago and promised you more...). On this sunny yet highly windy  Saturday afternoon we're all... [Lire la suite]

Development diaries: Vanessa

Vanessa Corbellini @ Cherry Models (Brazil) Polaroids galore ? Cornucopia ? Snaps invasion ? Vanessa's new polas came in our inbox yesterday at lunch time and were actually legions of picture-perfect shots. Vanessa from every angle is not a new concept when you remember last time we featured her she was also striking many different poses and the whole set looks like a tiny movie. So, what is her short story telling this time ? The same old song: it's extremely hard to pick four or six pics as she definitely can't take any... [Lire la suite]

Body language that leaves us speechless

Regina Feoktistova @ Women (NY) We've just featured her a few days ago with her editorial in current (and last) issue of Mixte. Regina is in NY now and with Women (by the way Giedre Dukauskaite too, just joined Women - makes quite an army of favorites now with Viktoriya, Ginta, Mina, Valeria...). Before her next batch of tests, before her new polas and after Mixte, comes a little bonus just arrived in our inbox this morning: Regina's tests by Maxim Repin who was actually behind her very first tests ever at the beginning of... Boutique Beauties in Paris

Agnes Alden @ Studio KLRP (Paris) Nastya Kraule @ Studio KLRP (Paris) Natalie Maury @ Studio KLRP (Paris) It's not the first time we feature girls from Studio KLRP, boutique agency in Paris. It's probably not the last time as well. We believe in their slightly different approach and strong scouting, always digging some great girls out of the blue, never hesitating to explore beauty out of the beaten tracks. Latest picks are three new faces from their board, Agnes (5'11"5), Nastya (5'10) and Natalie... [Lire la suite]

Lexposed Lady: Polina

Polina Synyavska @ Vo! Models (Ukraine), Why Not (Milan) Who's your favorite face of the season ? Please, put a S at the end of face because it's too hard to come up with one name. No one and only, not this season and most likely not in the future. You couldn't even give ten names of girls who are clearly above of the others. Actually, we could find enough bright and brillant newbies for a weekly feature from Fall 2009 to Spring 2010. That's how we picked Polina, 5'9"5 and from Vo! Models in Kiev. She's... [Lire la suite]

Introducing: Nisch Management

Nisch Management or the birth of a new boutique agency in Sweden. An agency to put on your list if you're planning a trip to Scandinavia soon. Recently founded by three incredible people sharing the same vision but coming from quite different background - one used to be a freelance scout, one used to model and the third one is specialised in coaching and devoted to development. After following the whole process of building the agency and seeing the girls arriving one by one, we thought it was big time to introduce their board right... [Lire la suite]

Meet Alina !

Alina Jukova @ Image Discovery (Ukraine) Once the cruel dilemma of her height was over, we were full force behind Alina. She's only 5'7 (171 exactly and 80-64-90) and 16-years-old but her face was too unique not feature her. Heartbreaking. After all, one picture is worth thousand words if not a million and Alina is one in a million. Perfect skin and intense, expressive blue gaze were enough to balance the few centimeters still lacking but if you need a couple more reasons we could say the incredible shape of... [Lire la suite]
