Human beauty is uncanny

We heard once that beauty comes from symmetry. We should have put our fingers in our ears or our walkman and listen to some loud music instead. We even heard it was something natural, that humans are naturally attracted by symmetrical features. And they insisted it was something that belongs to nature and not to societies or cultures. Even if there might be something relevant, we dare to disagree. We beg to disagree and not only because faces are asymmetrical by nature. Obviously asymmetrical features are attractive and attracting, beauty often takes its roots in the subtle gap between what we are used to see and what seems slightly uncanny to our eyes.

When we saw Ingrid's tests from Brazil (she's working hard on her portfolio and editorials are to expect), we immediately thought of these random ideas about human beauty and symmetrical stuff. Our eyes have been highly influenced by models like Dovile Virsilaite among others who are known and even famour for their slightly (or obvious) asymmetric features. Chin, eyes, nose every little detail flirting with imperfection creates beauty and Ingrid follows this pattern as well, offering a unique look. Highlights on expressions and emotions. Besides this little story she's 5'9 and soon will be able to travel, pushed ahead of the modeling game by her mother agency Joy in Sao Paulo.
