Odile Coco on a Fashion Mission

Odile Coco @ SPS (The Netherlands) We just did an extended feature on the maestro yesterday and some new pictures by Gilbert François are already out. Odile goes now by Odile Coco, inspiring name for a girl who never stops getting better and better. Makes her name as precious as her look and attitude, makes the whole package more intriguing and mysterious. The greatest surprises in her book these days aren't only Gilbert's fantastic four (last rows above) but the combination of brilliant new tests... [Lire la suite]

Peerless Princess

Helen George @ MC2 (NY) No matter if you just call her fantastic like Jonathan Leder (who took her polas above) did or if you go through all the possible superlatives to describe her look, one thing is sure: Helen is one to keep in mind at MC2 this season. Delicate from head to toe with that swan-like silhouette and her natural talent to find the right pose, the true English Rose knew how to add her personal touch to every editorial she was involved in from total cuteness to the most distant moods. A... [Lire la suite]

Gilbert François: Do What You Want, Be What You Are

Merel Zoet @ SPS (Amsterdam) and Dana Korstenbroek @ SPS (Amsterdam) "Fashion is emotion" were the first words of photographer Gilbert François when he started talking about his work. Our goal was to dedicate the whole post to him and thought we needed to unveil the philosphy behind the pictures. "Never pose, never act. It's fake, it looks fake and a model must be her true self" in front of the camera. Do what you want, be what you are. There might be the secret of his unique touch and the reason why we love his work that much. Yes,... [Lire la suite]

Anything is Possible

Nastya Tretyakova @ Fusion (NY) Interviews with Fusion girls quickly became one of our beloved habit when an amazing new face joined their development board. After Karolina Nevia last year Krista Gamble in July, we felt we had to welcome their latest addition, a Russian young lady called Nastya Tretyakova (5'11 and very Fusion-looking) who's waiting eagerly for her first trip in New York. Managed by Black Model Management in her hometown and found online by Fusion's eye, she told us she owes a lot to photographer Nicole Demeshik ... [Lire la suite]

About Ana

Ana @ Wilhelmina (NY) Photographers have been working relentless these last weeks. Adrian, Maxim, Jonathan and others, all our favorite lensmen were all busy building books for the latest newbies in town. Another photographer we have often featured for his test shots done in New York, Bradford Gregory can also claim a favorite-status for his recent and overall work. Latest pieces included various new faces from Ford and Elite. And Wilhelmina, like Ana who caught our attention lately. On our wishlist of this... [Lire la suite]

Mandarinamania goes Major

Alexandrina Turcan @ Major (NY) Everybody loves her, almost absolutely everybody (nice odd way to put it, right?) and the season hasn't even begun. Just about to start but some names are on every lips, some faces in every mind. You might say the same for girls like Gloria Loitz at One or R'el Dade at Marilyn who are both gathering a lot of the current attention. Add a couple of brand new stunners from IMG, Supreme and other powerhouses and you've got a nice potential line-up already. And besides all these magical ones... [Lire la suite]

Words of Wisdom

Sylwia @ AW Agence (Poland) Careful and wise development can help a lot at the beginnings of a promising career. Doing one thing after the other and making sure not to go too fast. Every step is important and has to be completed before reaching any higher level. Sylwia was already featured here twice, each time she impressed us with her latest materials, proving with every single picture that she has enough power to improve quickly. Giving more presence to the camera, working out more expression,... [Lire la suite]

Pick up the Phone

Raisa Anane @ Mandarina (Romania) Taken less than an hour ago in the backyard at Mandarina's offices, Raisa is ready now and getting more powerful than ever. Who would have guessed only a few months ago ? But Raisa (5'9 with FM London and in perfect shape) has got the will and has been able to keep her targets as high as her potential. She learnt how to pose, how to show her presence on pictures and everything else she needed back in time. She's now able to turn from classic beauty to... [Lire la suite]

Simply Different, No Added Promise

Svea Kloosterhof @ CODE Management (The Netherlands) Take an inspiring face and send it to an inspired photographer. See what you get, make the mix and let the music play. Svea looks like a dancing queen or a conductor, depends on which picture you're looking at. The only thing who never changes from one shot to the other is the high emotions she brings. Limitless love to the camera is obvious on any of the black and white pieces by Jonathan Waiter and even more obvious on this VIDEO of Svea shooting with Anouk... [Lire la suite]

She's Back (In Town/On Tracks)

Debora Muller @ One (NY) One was the first agency to lay the cards on the table and show both the expected assets and surprising wildcards. Among the second ones, you'll find no other than Debora Muller, the other Brazilian currently setting new standards at One. Coming from Way Models, Sao Paulo and writing her story her own way of course, Debora mixes a graceful silhouette with playful yet delicate poses with much talent and precision. Building her portfolio like a true piece of art. It's opening time right now - too early to... [Lire la suite]
