Backstage isn't really the loveliest place on earth. People are rushing and running, jumping around and bumping into each others. Some girls are already stressed out from the four weeks of castings-fittings-shows they had to do and there is nothing worse than a hairdresser in a bad mood. Though, for the sake of discovery, backstage can be an interesting experience every season and, once again, it was worth the violence. Chapurin Spring Summer 2010 on Saturday morning: huge place, huge space and soon huge amount of people moving everywhere. Noami Campbell opened the show then the casting was just random. We did neither expect nor mind Naomi's appearance and it was like she walked out of another world (era?), we didn't mind the random faces who walked after her. Randomness isn't especially thrilling yet at least it wasn't completely boring as well.

Best example of how a striking face can change the mood of the day was how we discovered Kelly Moreira. It's one thing to know where she's from - Elite's contest, french finalist before she became a queen without the crown, walking for Lanvin. It's quite a different feeling to see how she stood out from the crowd as a natural beauty despite some heavy make up and strange angle (in the rush). Delicate features and this amazing sweetness of her expressions that seems to come straight from the bottom of her heart. And a few minutes later, across the catwalk, the softness became fierce and versatility also became obvious. Things that didn't escape from good eyes too as she just walked for Dries Van Noten yesterday. You know what ? We were just waiting for a crush like that these last days. And such days count like ages. So famous.
