A "relative newcomer to the European circuit" according to Vogue UK , a self-proclaimed "typical Brazilian girl" turned less Brazilian since she works abroad and a huge favorite of ours since her early debuts. Descriptions of Wanessa Milhomem can be as different as possible, the high potential and unique look remain the red thread of it regardless of the point of view. Her rather unusual kind of beauty mostly rely to her uncanny ability to look as sweet as dark, to mix both and create an atmosphere of her own. This girl is "an editorial by herself" and she only needed one page by Willy Vanderperre to make us forget every other story from this Vogue issue. A fan of "tailored jackets" that are "basic, and a bit androgynous", who doesn't need jewellery to shine (and outshine the others), Wanessa has also become a favorite of those runways aiming to show something different in their collections in a true independent spirit. Think of Vivienne Westwood and Kris Van Assche in Paris or Charles Anastase in London. Whoever wants to show his own vision of clothes needs models who can embody it. And who else than girls of her kind has enough power to match such high requirements ? Same goes for magazines and we often find our darling on the pages of our favorite indies. We bet again it's partly (at least) due to the elitist yet down-to-earth vibe of Ms. Milhomem.
