Pretty girls are legions on runways today. Some are celebrating the return of classic beauties, some are complaining about the huge wave of blondes rocking and rolling everywhere in every city. But does this quick picture really shows the reality of this season ? Not exactly. Next propelled Valerija Kelava at a very high level for a beginner, with campaign rumors (or reliable info now) and a stunning editorial in latest Dazed & Confused. Ford-girl Jacquelyn Jablonski ranks among the most successful girls of Spring Summer 2010 while IMG got some beautiful wildcard-moments with atypical blonde Jenny Sinkaberg (sharing thed with Valerija in Dazed) and not-so-All-American beauty Sharon Kavjian. One launched a dark Debora Muller and DNA hit the target with Hind. Classic beauty isn't that much an overwhelming trend and the Dutch invasion has no clear winner yet.

Our conclusion so far is there is still room for unsual beauties loaded with talent. Maybe more than ever. Call them different or edgy or even genius, these girls are still making their way in modelling - either in the spotlights or underground. Girls like Olga Savina at Mandarina, girls out that mold which never brings exactly the same features, girls that won't be close to have any clone when they make their first steps on the catwalk. Tall (5'11"5), leggy (and it shows), special from head to toe and gathering all the attention from photographers who worked with her. Like Lukas Dvorak - it took him one test only to call her the best girl of the agency. Expressive, sensitive and intense gaze, cheekbones to fall for and incredible commitment and passion for modelling are enough explanations of that talent.
