Fighting for Class

Surrealistic morning. These last two days have been more bizarre than crossing Latvia, Lithuania and Poland in a row. Snowstorms, frozen wind and so on. Couldn't recognize the place we live, couldn't anymore. Minus fifteen (Celsius, thankfully) makes you think it's Summer when it gets back to zero. Picking up our swimsuits and having a glimpse outside, in the snow. Crazy daisy.

Though, today's first topic has nothing to do with snow, besides Ilda coming from Sweden of course. Ilda or the girl who already scored a Miu Miu campaign (FW 09-10), ruled the Japanese magazines from Elle to Spur and got a wonderful spot in our beloved Amica. You might also remember her from Spring 2010 Marni show as the epitome of cuteness under her headscarf. With such a promising package in her book, it's no wonder she already has a special place among our favorites.

But if you know us and how tricky we are, you'll easily guess a big campaign at a beginning of a career doesn't always turn a girl into a favorite here. And there is another reason - at least - that pushed us into Ilda's sweet trap. Well, to make it as simple as possible, let's call her a true romantic. Something sensitive in her look that we can't resist. Some contrasts between her features (classic beauty pillow lips / melancholic eyes... won't do the full list as we have 8 polas). Something in her attitude in front of the camera. Never overplaying it, never trying too hard. Just class. Might be nothing nowadays but here it counts as what we're striving for and fighting for.

Ilde is very clearly sick in these images. 'Fashion does it better'?? Oh the irony. Ilde is a very beautiful girl with an amazing body - just take a look at images from when she first started or more recently (2013/14). WAKE UP!!! How about a few more model agents and wannabes recognising what a serious eating disorder looks like?
