Tetyana Melnychuk @ Marilyn (NY)

The Tetyana Melnychuk show by Jonathan Waiter. That's probably how we should have named this short story exploring Tetyana's most unexpected sides including the most precious and vulnerable. We finally went for everybody loved the show as these pieces of work were actually milestones for everyone and a great moments - we imagine. For the photographer, the model, her mother agent from Argentina and for our own eyes, when the set arrived in front of them.

We surely knew Tetyana was a special one when we quickly saw her twice in Paris - slender silhouette, shy presence yet not too much, gorgeous and intriguing gazes here, there and those endearing little smirks when she finally left backstage. From these little moments we got some special memories, the kind we always enjoy but keeps the mystery alive. Apart form having these incredible features (from head to toe), there was something else playing a role in Tetyana's appeal. Got to get it.

Jonathan Waiter called her a "tough spirit" and meant it in a good way. Known as a photographer who might be more demanding for a test shoot than others, their work together was certainly a great, useful experience for Tetyana as she had to express her vulnerable side (which she definitely has and how marvelous it is!). And in the same time had to let it express fearlessly. Strength and vulnerability hand in hand ? Rings a bell. We believe (and so does Jonathan) Tetyana got what it takes to handle it, with a perfect balance between professionalism and natural awkwardness.
