First days in Paris, last season. Convo at an agency, heard from a reliable mouth: "I like Jenny as a person but she's not my type, let's see if she'll work well this week". Week went by, shows went on. Balenciaga, Kenzo, Sonia Rykiel, Valentino and Miu Miu to finish her season, quite a week to remember for the unusual blonde... Last night in Paris, last season. Dinner with friends, agents, scouts and a crazy dog barking an extended version of Singing in the Rain (or is it the other way round ?). "She did pretty well but we saw a similar girl doing such a good first season in Paris then booked nothing next one, what makes you so sure she'll keep it that high next time ?". Our answer was that the other one was just cute while Jenny has something of her own. Hard to describe and not easy to tell it was only a feeling. Good feeling as Ms. Sinkaberg's season includes, so far: Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Rag and Bone, Richard Chai and Rodarte in NY then Richard Nicoll, Christopher Kane, Aquascutum and Antonio Berardi in London. Okay, we're not in Paris yet and let's stop name-dropping, shall we ? Let's talk about love instead... love of the lasting kind.
