Fever vs. Frenzy
Fashion week is going its way and the first interesting facts are there now. Still a bit too early to think of a review (or a no-review) but we do really think a few models we spotted these days are worth some kind of report. Not really focusing on shows only and it's often good to keep one of your eyes away from the runway when everything is happening. Leaving all options open because in two weeks then in three weeks everything can be different. You never know at this stage and all we feel allowed to tell for the moment is who we have noticed, who we like, who we hope to see again. Etc.
It's the agent's job to promote his models, literally and we will probably never hear bad or tedious comments from an agent about his own models. But the difference is more in the positive words used, in the energy they put in talking about their newest talents in town and there is a big gap between 'she's cool' or 'she's great' or even 'she's brilliant' and "taking these digitals gave me model fever". You can taste the enthusiasm and commitment there. That was actually how we were introduced to Stephanie Lee for the second time, after receiving her test by Jonathan Leder a few weeks before (or not even). When the words match the materials...
