Abbey Lee might be the most remarkable plsatinum-blonde of these days, the latest piece of editorial work we have of her still showcases her natural hair color (in black and white but still). Shot by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo, published in The Gentlewoman (the most amazing thing we've had in hands these last few months, see more here), Blush is more exactly a beauty story and you may start thinking we've became obsessed by beauty stories. Obsessed by beauty in all forms, actually, in all ways and from every angle. That's probably what caught our attention and generated such a huge interest in this series of black and white portraits. Make-up and hair as the center of the story, its red thread and a current inspiration of ours. Abbey Lee's shows this seasons are already countless (Ralph Lauren, Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, Donna Karan, Proenza Schouler...) but this editorial is just priceless for whatever reason our minds could find. The first and most obvious one is how it hits the target from a purely visual point of view: hard to take your eyes off it and hard to stop your brain from finding inspiration in it. And as it comes to brain, this story also reminds us how a simple idea can be turned into a smart concept, how styling and modeling (and fashion in the end) aren't just a matter of clothes, how one expression can captivate us over six pages. But one question strikes us now, did we even need to list our reasons to love it? Leaving the answer to your own appreciation.
