Despite the basic fact this kind of studio stories will never get us totally thrilled, there is something refreshing and a lot of high energy in this editorial from most recent issue of UK Elle. And quite a good dose of creativity to turn what could have totally uninspiring into a vivid spread that turns on your mood at the first second. It's spring and the atmosphere to this short story goes with it, both for the first sunny days of March and the rainy April afternoons but the weather is probably not the only reason to publish these pictures today. First of all this series was an awesome opportunity to rediscover Rafael Stahelin's work, one these rare photographers who can make you enjoy simple things to the maximum and leave aside any theories or aesthetic values just to concentrate on pictures and your current emotion seeing them. Then for Yulia, a model we were lucky to meet last fall in Paris, literally one season before her catwalk career took a different turn: Fall Winter 2011-12 brought names like Miu Miu or Celine on her show list while the editorial side also counts recent spreads in US Elle, Amica and V Magazine. And last but not least, we couldn't close this article without writing the name of the stylist as we must admit Ye Young Kim's work here plays a big role in the visual power of these photographs and as the combo with Rafael is very often a perfect match. Inspiration is where you find it, listen to your heart...
