The Keke-Effect
Keke @ Wilhelmina (NY)
Time to have another look at Keke, Wilhelmina's girl who caught the fashion girl by storm this season. After some sensational debuts in New York at the beginning of the month, she keeps the level sky high in Milan (with Elite) adding a few of the most coveted shows on her booking-list. We were first informed that she walked Prada at the end of last week. We were also told we should better wait till the end to drop a few more lines. For obvious reasons. What will be will be and Keke walked another bunch of... [Lire la suite]28-09-09
TMSRRE part 16: Jacquelyn
Jacquelyn Jablonski @ Ford (NY), Elite (Milan)
Saving a few extra pictures for a future update has almost become a rule for us during showtime. And once again it was worth to keep a few polas of Jacquelyn from Ford NY in case she does well in Europe too. After an amazing start in New York earlier this month, her showlist from Milan looks simply flawless from day one to the end. Prada, Max Mara, Gucci or Dolce & Gabbana are enough example to feel the power and a lot of good signs for Jacquelyn's future. Saving... [Lire la suite]25-09-09
TMSRRE part 15: Alisa
Alisa @ Ice (Milan)
There is another Alisa in Milan and you'd better not overlook this one. Alisa at Ice, cool as can be (and awesome on Matteo Montanari's shot above) and if the blond one she shares her name with walked Prada, she's got a lot to tell as well after two days of shows only. Count some of the very best on her booking-list. First one is Antonio Marras. Our favorite and, as we might have said thousand times these days, one of most interesting castings worldwide - all cities included. Extended and extremely... [Lire la suite]25-09-09
Yeah
Sharon Kavjian @ IMG (NY, Paris, Milan, London)
Prada, plenty of good news. We'll get back to it later and in depth. Just would like to focus on Sharon Kavjian for a few minutes. Discovered her this Summer, photographer Jonathan Leder was so enthusiastic about the way she photographs. Presence behind sweetness and quite tough when she's not smooth. We said she was no proverbial beauty, we meant she's not the kind of girl that follows a ready-made career pattern, she's one of these incredible models who write their own story going... TMSRRE part 14: Magdalena
Magdalena Fiolka @ Eastern (Poland), Storm (London), d'management (Milan), Ford (NY), Elite (Paris)
After meeting her on a sunny day in Berlin last July and watching how things are going for her young career, we're glad to add her to our TMSRRE series this season. London was her highlight and she knew how to combine very different shows on the same booking-list. Take Veryta and Kinder Aggugini for example, difficult to find two shows that are as different as they are in their styling, clothing and overall mood. Same... [Lire la suite]23-09-09
Look Number One
Valerija Kelava @ Next (NY, Paris, London, Milan)
Yesterday we did a close-up feature on Ursula and just thought we should also drop a few lines on Valerija again. TMSRRE number six of the season and look number one at Christopher Kane, she's definitely one we want to keep in mind right now. She caught our eyes for her dark look just before the show started for her dark, moody and sophisticated looks, pale skin and raven fringe. All in the powerful gaze, in the subtle expressions (that one above tells you perfectly) and presence on... [Lire la suite]22-09-09
TMSRRE part 13: Marike
Marike @ Wilhelmina (NY)
"You are what you wear it's true". According to this, Marike is a true treasure, after a hectic week in NY. Even if we would just remember Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs among the several other high level shows walked, it's a real event and calls for celebration. Or at least to drop a few lines like we're doing right now. Marike or the secret cooking at Wilhelmina leading to a sensational creature able to catch any coveted catwalk. Count the silhouette (oh la la, legs... [Lire la suite]22-09-09
TMSRRE part 12: Ursula
Ursula @ FM (London)
Yesterday we were speechless and breathless when we saw her walking for Christopher Kane. Immediately thought of a report on her. Could have done it overnight but we were right to wait a little longer. A matter of hours, as the missing piece of the puzzle just arrived and left us speechless and breathless once again. Tears we cried were tears of joy this time. Magical moments that we didn't even expected.
Ursula belongs to our favorite models since the day we noticed her first. Something special,... [Lire la suite]21-09-09
TMSRRE part 11: Aymeline
Aymeline Valade @ Women Direct (NY), Women (Milan), Women (Paris)
We were already impressed by polas and prints, she suddenly caught our eyes again. Walking for Elise Overland first. Then again on last days of New York shows as look number two at Threeasfour, one of the collection that left a mark in our minds from there this season. Presence on the runway, attitude backstage and true talent for editorials are often a formula that works well. Anytime. And for a timeless beauty like Aymeline, this should work... TMSRRE part 10: Katya
Katya Kulyzhka @ Women Direct (NY), Women (Milan)
Here comes Katya, as promised. One of the newcomers we've been watching relentlessly all the week as the Ukrainian was having her first season ever in New York. Youthful features and a lot of energy quickly became her trademark on runway, poise and playful expressions didn't remain unnoticed as well. Remarkable at United Bamboo, working out the silky headscarf as if she were born with it (her eyes got even more prominent that way and the sweet yet fierce gaze of hers... [Lire la suite]
