Wow Factor
She just did her first season last year and already managed to extend
her appeal from Vogue Paris to US Vogue via Vogue Italia , Vogue UK and
Dazed &
Confused. And yet another issue of Vogue Italia. A phenomenal editorial work in the shortest amount of time. May sound too phenomal to be true, or rather questionable yet
the answer might as well be obvious if you consider the undeniable aura of maturity and grace she projects at a time when the reign of
disposable new girls is being pointed out as something that strongly... [Lire la suite]06-02-11

We fade to Grey or the show must go on? That's maybe the
last question we asked ourselves between Saturday and Sunday. Saturday
night fever finished fast and Sunday seems still far away, only Grey Magazine keeps going places in our heads right now. Patricia's fuzzy blurred cover by Ellen Von Unwerth or Missy's black and white standout by Beau Grealy could be the highlights. Or did we spot Chadwick... [Lire la suite]02-02-11
New Ring
So, Vogue Italia got Candice Swanepoel, Purple brings us back Laetitia
Casta and Love Magazine's latest release is an extra-glossy story with
Alessandra Ambrosio. We know some will already call it a sort of trend,
even when we believe there was a totally different story behind each
example we gave. Movements would be a better word to describe what is
going on right now and has been going on for a few months. Put aside the
regular tries to provoke readers, let's simply focus on the natural
slope of the late evolution... [Lire la suite]04-01-11
Remix #2: Now or Never
Anne Sophie @ Modelwerk (Germany), Ford (NY), Fabiana @ Marilyn (NY), Elin @ Elite (NY) and Pauline @ Marilyn (NY)
The Now Girls. Sounds quite deja vu, sounds like this concept has been
used over and over again. Nothing new under the sun or above the thick
snow coat laying on the ground. But after all, this kind of stories
counts among the regular excercises in fashion and modeling, the same
way as "the best items of the season" or whatever they are called. A
bunch of models, who embody the... [Lire la suite]09-12-10
Instill
Melodie @ Wilhelmina (NY) and Anais @ Ford (NY)
Sometimes you say too much, sometimes not enough. Same here, sometimes
we write too much and sometimes words are simply lacking. Words are
friends some days and enemies the next morning and all this vicious
circle makes hard to find the right balance. Trying to, though and we
guess it happens we work it out. Drop by drop, fighting sleepless
nights and meaningless dreams with the best sides of our imagination,
maybe that's where the path starts and it's up to... [Lire la suite]04-12-10
This Ain't No Technological Breakdown, This Is The Road [...]
Pauline @ Marilyn (NY)
It was quite a hard task to find an editorial topic for the end of this
week. Not that the materials were lacking, many things to put our eys
on (then off) but was never easy to pick some visuals that go hand in
hand with our current inspirations or states of mind. So, had to check
and double-check, take ideas where we found them and adapt them to the
current editorial pages we found interesting enough to show right now.
And it's definitely the last part of the sentence that make sense.

Tatatata Bengbengbeng (All The Rage)
Valerija Kelava and Hanne Gaby Odiele @ Ford (NY), Hannah Holman @ Elite (NY)
Working till two in the morning, waking up with loud disco straight in the
ears and working again. Did we even sleep or did we dream we slept? That
is the question and a very good one. Vogue Italia is not a dream,
though it's a shame it hasn't reached our favorite bookshop yet -- will
probably have to kick some asses soon if we want to get it in time..
next time. Because this issue is all the rage here and now, and makes us

Who, Baby, Who Will Save The World (It's Not Too Late)
Rasa Zukauskaite @ Next
Between relief and bitternesss. Two words that should fit for the state of mind of many people involved or following the show season. Relieved as the frenzy is over now, no rush anymore and atmosphere feels lighter again. Bitter or bittersweet when something important hasn't come true (yet?) or when all went too fast and you keep in mouth and mind the taste of missed opportunities. Despite the comments of some observers, Rasa Zukauskaite's season shouldn't bring any frustration or biterness to anyone... [Lire la suite]22-09-10
Beauty (Blush)
Abbey Lee Kershaw @ Next
Abbey Lee might be the most remarkable plsatinum-blonde of these days,
the latest piece of editorial work we have of her still showcases her
natural hair color (in black and white but still). Shot by Willy
Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo, published in The Gentlewoman (the
most amazing thing we've had in hands these last few months, see more
here), Blush is more exactly a beauty story and you may start thinking
we've became obsessed by beauty stories.... [Lire la suite]21-09-10
Love and Luck
Bregje Heinen @ Micha Models (The Netherlands), Select (London), Supreme (NY), Women (Milan)
There are these days you wonder if emotions are your friends or foes
and can't find a proper answer, some days you wish it was all mild and
calm, that you were flowing on your feelings instead of being carried
by the flood. If there one fashion story (beauty story for that matter)
which really materialise this impression, that would be Bregje's latest
spread in Glass Magazine, third issue. Opened by a... [Lire la suite]
