Bunny ears are such a serious topic

Laragh McCann @ Ford (Paris), Women (NY), Women (Milan) Crash has officially entered our must-buy list which could be describe as a small selection of magazines we can pick eyes-closed at our bookshop. Models recently featured inside were called Yana Karpova, Ragnhild Jevne or Masha Tyelna and we can add Laragh to the team now. She's this kind of girl you don't know what to expect from, apart from greatness. You can't tell where you'll see her next, you can't tell in advance which show... [Lire la suite]

Baby Jealousy

Katya @ Major (Paris) She looks like she ran away from a dollhouse but this doll is far from dull and full of life. We already had a preview with her first tests from Paris and even saw her on the runway at Devastée FW 09-10 at the beginning of this month. Now we have a proper idea of how she looks like in editorials as well with her brand new story in Jalouse by Hugues Laurent spreading some cuteness in motion all over the white background. The issue is all about home made and DIY, perfect for Katya's hand-made... [Lire la suite]

The taste of Cherry Chapstick

Laura Blokhina @ Viva (Paris), Viva (London), Why Not (Milan), DNA (NY) She didn't break record this season on the runway but she's safe and steady in her editorial career. Safe ? Rather say daring as her work is often tongue-in-cheek and visually striking. As her latest piece in current Mixte by Txema Yeste, style by Francesco Sourigues. Seems the mag likes her and even more. Actually to book her once for an editorial is to love her and magazines remain faithful to Laura, issue after issue. That's no wonder when... [Lire la suite]

Never say never: Casting at Viva

Laura Blokhina @ Viva We picked Laura as our first face from the ten Viva girls featured in newest issue of QVEST magazine. For two reason. First her pose looked perfect to open the series, then we'll have a complete feature dedicated to her very soon (again, for various reason that don't always sound obvious but stay tuned). Shot by Aitken Jolly and styled by Sam Ranger, it's another delightful story from one of our favorite magazines. As it's an absolute must buy and we don't want to kill the thrill too early, we didn't scan and... [Lire la suite]

The bottle of the genius was full of good wine getting better each season

Masha Tylena @ Storm (London) Instead of a top ten we have eight pictures of Masha from newest issue of Crash. We haven't seen her walking in the streets of the City of Lights but her editorial was one of the first thing we saw at the bookshop. A random glance and it stood out. Innocence but not only. Masha learnt how to blossom and let express the best of her potential. It took her a little while to give hundred percent of it in her editorial and we had to wait until the hype surrounding her went to down. Call it... [Lire la suite]

Even cheetahs are having a rest (but not too long)

Daria Strokous @ IMG (Paris) There is such a quiet atmosphere in this editorial by Eric Weidt for L'Officiel Paris march '09. Out of time and out of tune. Don't know. Out of this world maybe. A little bit the way it is these days. The after fashion weeks is always strange, everything seems familiar but we feel like strangers in our own life. Well, it never lasts. The pace is getting quickly faster again and we barely have time to sit down and relax. Things are going on again.Things should go on for Daria Strokous as... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 21: Polina

Polina Barbasova @ Union (London), Ford (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (Milan) If you really want it, take it slow. That's what we could say about Polina's career. Especially what she did this season. The way she did it. Slow in NY, almost silent but booking some underrated and overlooked shows with excellent castings. Slow in Milan but booking our biggest favorite there: Antonio Marras. Slow in Paris until... she exclusively appeared at Givenchy. Kind of crowning for our beloved Polina (from Team Models in Oslo). She had... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 18: Anya

Anya Kazakova @ Marilyn (NY), Marilyn (Paris), Storm (London), Why Not (Milan) Anya created such a well-deserved buzz last season when she appeared on the runway at Calvin Klein. She was no exclusive. She was so exclusive. She already walked many of the greatest shows all the week before and even opened the collection, wore three outfits. Then Rad  Hourani to close her first week ever and off to London. This season seems to be on the same good slope as she was back at Calvin and also walked Donna Karan, Max Azria, Phi... Mad about Madisyn

Madisyn Ritland @ Silent (Paris), Iconic (Berlin) Her new editorial in Jalouse came out while she's walking on Milan runways which most remarkable could be Burberry Prorsum or Alberta Ferretti so far. Word is that she's got the alternative cover as well but we haven't been able to find any copy in town. Well, at least we're more than happy with her story inside, brilliantly captured by photographer Ami Sioux. View more here and now.

TMSRRE part 16: Sophie

Sophie Srej @ IMG Her gaze seems rather sullen than sultry and her overall look screams intellectual. No, it doesn't really scream, it whispers carefully. So subtle and made of raw delicacy from head to toe, Sophie Srej brought a slightly melancholic touch to Calvin Klein last season, changing the mood of the exclusive girls, slipping away from the fierceness of Irina Kulikova or the cute light-hearted appeal of Diana Farkhullina that ruled the casting's aesthetic during a few seasons. Sophie Srej and her quiet... [Lire la suite]
