Spread Your Wings (When The Sky Is Grey)

Suzie Bird @ Supreme (NY) We had this thought at Marc Jacobs backstage while having a short talk with Supreme people there on what's going on this season (for us and for them). And Suzie Bird was naturally the name that came on everyone's lips at that time. Taking New York fashion week by storm exactly when nobody was looking forward to such a move in her career, Suzie appeared at several high profile shows since the start of the events and seems to keep this moment going in London and Milan. If we... [Lire la suite]

The Alternative

Allaire Heisig @ Ford (NY) You never see much when you get too close to the (spot-)lights and same should be true for fashion week as well. You never know as less as when you actually attend it, when you concentrate too much on the moment and get caught by the rush. That's how you might miss a couple of details you would have seen sitting at your desk, watching carefully everything. But hey, a little (and that was actually a lot) of action doesn't hurt or if it does, it's for good reasons. So, during the whole New York coverage we... [Lire la suite]

Sui He Enlights

Sui He @ NYMM Just a short supplement to our digital session with Sui He, the girl who opened and closed Vivienne Tam on Saturday and Diane Von Furstenberg on Sunday and one of the most intriguing newcomers at New York Models right now. From China and enjoying a promising first season in New York right now, we had the (short) opportunity to spend a moment with her at the agency. See the results HERE and keep your fingers crossed for her next steps !

O/C

Juju Ivanyuk @ NYMM She may agree with anyone who says great things take time to happen... Juju spotted all smiles not long after opening and closing BCBG show.

One Day Or Another

Milly @ One (NY) Introduced just yesterday evening as "Milly the Brit", the latest One caught some immediate attention with a couple of black and white shots packed as a collage. Though these two or three pictures were such a beautiful way to say hello, what we selected for today's feature is unveiling a little more on Milly yet still keeping most of her mystery alive. And surely a touch of mystery doesn't hurt now as the show season is starting soon enough to keep the most impatient eyes waiting... [Lire la suite]

There And Now

Here we go, show packages and the 'big four' about to start soon. Next week, bookmark it etc. Time for most of the modeling world and fashion planet to get crazy again, welcome back to the flight frenzy and endless wars to get a cab and all these little things that make a fashion week what it is. But let's stick to the first point now: show packages. You know (or we hope you do) review packages has never been our favorite part of the job but instead of taking it as a necessary evil, we always tried to imagine this is a... [Lire la suite]

Insane Insight

Melinda Szepesi @ Premier (London), Ice (Milan) Gaslight nights, randomly dressed and surviving with pizzas, beers and whatever sweet stuff, loud live music all evening long, twisted mornings  looking for parts of ourselves we might have forgotten next to some pieces of art in the other room. Was our life these last few days, was our daily nightlife (!) next to administrative duties lasting till dusk. New week, cold Monday, sound went away for a while and things are supposed to be back to normal. Supposedly,... [Lire la suite]

Casual or Not

Olga Cazacenco @ Ice Squared (Milan) Haven't talked a lot about London this season (did we talk about New York much as well? maybe before it started, right) and off to Milan we go now. First day today, first thrill later this afternoon (think Gucci and tune your mood) and first Milano-girl on FDIB this morning. From Ice Squared, home of Melinda and Alisa, who just released their show package on their blog asking if you are squared enough. We might be but not sure it's our answer that matters most these days. And... [Lire la suite]

Fever vs. Frenzy

Fashion week is going its way and the first interesting facts are there now. Still a bit too early to think of a review (or a no-review) but we do really think a few models we spotted these days are worth some kind of report. Not really focusing on shows only and it's often good to keep one of your eyes away from the runway when everything is happening. Leaving all options open because in two weeks then in three weeks everything can be different. You never know at this stage and all we feel allowed to tell for the moment is who we... [Lire la suite]
