Fashion does it Better

Heart Openers

Just four weeks ago, more or less exactly, we noticed a green-eyed lady on a showcard from Women Management and couldn't not include her to our lists of models to watch, carefully. Polina Park joined our little papers as a future favorite of ours and a serious contender for the shows to come. We had to wait until the very last days of Paris Fashion Week to know we were right as it's known and seen that Polina opened Givenchy's collection. Equally delightful surprise from Paris is Daniela Kocianova opening Céline and...... [Lire la suite]

The Girl with That Golden Hair

While the rat race hasn't come to an end yet (even if we already know some winners and losers), this girl with golden hair only knows the meaning of the Midas touch: everything Lululeika put her hands on (well, booked) these last few days seems to turn into solid gold. Think about her show season, especially Paris: Dior, Valentino, Ann Demeulemeester, Givenchy, and before brightening the City of Lights, she walked for favorites of ours like Sies Marjan and Rodarte in New York, Gucci in Milan and had her hair refreshed for the... The Favorite

It's been a few months we have this idea in mind: writing down all the good things we think and have to say about Nika Cole, and the moment seems better than ever so, we're glad to take it slow. Redheads have always had their golden spot on FDIB but it takes a little more than just ginger or copper locks and an army of freckles to deserve a full article. Walking most of our favorite shows of the season could be a good reason, though. A regular at Gucci (including last week's show, recent resort and even menswear), and some... [Lire la suite]

Let Us See and We'll Give You Thunders

Don't you worry a single bit, we're in heavy talk for the next new face (sorry for the potential disappointment, both of them are already placed but we can't fight against Günstagram, we are old and irrelevant every now and then) but for now (and even for then) it's time for those we like. Weekend is looking at us, so does beer and cheap salty stuff not to get too nervous. One is the epitome of our muses, the other is getting her spot in our heaven at the moment. Both share one thing (or two) – they are represented by Women in NYC... [Lire la suite]

Milky Ways. Fancy as it sounds, Blue still Breeds Blue

Sorry to say so but it was Adele Exarchopoulos (was going to write Anarchopoulos, and way below for the fanas) who reminded me of Lea (Seydoux, say sweet), there's no bad reminder after all and Exa is far from being the worst of all. No Schtrimpf-blue hair, no aired boobies there, just a face to let you guess. We're like dirty cakes willing to be baked and sliced but that's another story for the tories. Right now only the spark itching our eyes counts and tomorrow morning seems like a buff illusion. We're pancakes and do... [Lire la suite]

Zilver Bullet

Looking at some digitals online, we stumbled upon those, without any name written nearby, and wondered who she is – it took a few seconds before we realized she was her. Ultimate favorite of FDIB, almost our cover girl par excellence, Zuzana Gregorova revisited. Don't exactly know when these were done, don't know when exactly. But clear things are that first we love her more than ever, second she outscores herself and that was enough for a short notice here. That's not just memories, that's how we imagine the future model to... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE RELOADED

Dear potential readers, friends and foes (gotta get some more of the latter this round, or not, may be), passionarias and dilettantes, insomniacs and heavy sleepers, here is time for a revamped version of one of our favorite excercises: The Most Subjective Runway Review Ever (TMSRRE), as irrelevent and irreverent as we like it to be. Our favorites, those who can make our heart fail, some random crushes and the sweet surprises... And the opening slot finally went to Chiara Mazzoleni, not only because we wanted to have her in this... [Lire la suite]

Up Beside That Red Firelight (The Skin She's In)

We've never been fond of overnight makeovers for no reason but when a butterly suddenly goes out of its chrysalis to fly straight ahead to our stomach (and we were bloody ravenous lately), we're not the kind to resist too long before melting from head to toe. And it's very few to say that Katie Moore just went out of her shell when she opened Alexander Wang's latest collection earlier this month in New York City. When others blush, she just ignites and the meaning of redhead has never been so accurate, so bright, so flaming,... [Lire la suite]

Frizzante

Wanted some Lambrusco, flows of it, rivers. Wanted some and went away to get it, buy it, steal it if needed. Went to the first supermarket, lovely as it is, when nobody's around because it's too early. A woman in uniform said there is no bottle left till the afternoon, then went away. Bye, lovely face, lovely words, lovely grin. Took another bus, another tramway, saw this world, face to face, saw the disaster and the cherry-bone babes. Control me, take my purse, take my love away and sell it on e-bay. Lambrusco was... [Lire la suite]

Open that other door

Babies like salad and they never turn back, unlike this guy we'll foil, we'll check his back door and, then, turn our heads, looking at another grey sea, looking at another bright moon fucking the sun, hard, yelling the yellow one is just another fool looking for cheap sensations. We do not care, we do not swear, we are free souls lost in a desert ocean. Fulfil it, pour water on our dirty dreams, leak, drip, slow storms that make no noise around are among the favorites of ours, do, then. Pour. Don't you see the open hands, lurking... [Lire la suite]
