Gimme gimmicks

Tuanne Froemming @ IMG (Paris) It's gimmicky. It's a young woman with accessories and a purplish blue background. It's in Marie Claire, french edition and last issue. And it's well done. It's brilliant. First we should thank photographer Olivier Rose and stylist Mako Yamazaki who did what they had to do. And did it the right way. Then we're going to focus on model Tuanne Froemming. Actually we focus on Tuanne for quite a while, since her international beginnings. She was on the cover of Muteen in white and blue with flame-red... [Lire la suite]

Development diaries: Anne Sophie

Anne Sophie @ Modelwerk (Germany) The first thought that crossed our mind when we saw these pictures was that Anne Sophie probably just walked out of a dream and entered the offices of Modelwerk, Hamburg. That was when we saw her on the agency's blog, a couple of weeks ago. They were thinking she came out of an old german song by Udo jürgens but put the emphasis on the same little things as we do: immaculate attitude and almost white hair. Since that day, our 5'11 ethereal (and slightly impish-looking) lady added more material to... [Lire la suite]

A very creative Cherry

Tayane Ruibal @ Cherry Models (Brazil) Let's say things how they are: Tayane is hard to overlook. Another thing which is hard not to notice is the way she has improved since our last feature on her. She was already talented and looks close to genius now. The poses. The poise. And the little wild thing going hand in hand with that. These fresh pictures might only be considered as snaps, they were shot in a studio and are clearly worth many editorials. No matter what it's supposed to be, quality and creativity are always more... Kinga L...

Kinga Lukomska @ SPP (Poland) Here comes Kinga again. Not only here by the way. She's currently in Barcelona, with Traffic Models. She's also in the latest issue of Acne Paper in a story shot by Sarah Moon. Yes, again. She already worked with her for various other magazines and for Wunderkind's campaigns (Spring Summer 09 and Fall Winter 08-09). So, what's next and what's new? Hard to tell right now and we just told you the latest news. Some plans for sure and her future is taking shape little by little. Step by step like the... [Lire la suite]

Wanted: Lin

Lin @ 2pm (Denmark) Non-stop running today, non-stop running this month. Craziest month of the year, here. Loads of events thrown all over May, tonight is another exhibition opening at 7pm. But we found some times to check the agencies websites. From here and from there. We checked out 2pm and our eyes were caught by Lin. We immediately asked about her and actually it was quite similar for them as well... she caught their eyes. It was not so long ago, it was on an open call day, she went into their... [Lire la suite]

Meet Carla !

Carla Pagot @ Way (Brazil) Brown hair, brown eyes. Brunettes do it better this afternoon and Carla joins the team right now. Discovered by the one and only Way Model Management of Sao Paulo, she's eighteen and 5'10 (178). A teaspoon of darkness and another teaspoon of sweetness, it sounds like a magical formula to make a highly intriguing newbie. The lovely shape of her eyes, sharp features and poise complete the portrait. Her tee-shirt tells a little message and the story is launched. Don't stop now, the light is on.

Photomaton with Kangana

Kangana @ IMG (Paris) Our Photomaton series are usually dedicated to models who get their first tests. The idea is simple: four tests and four recent polas. This time, the whole story is a little bit different but the high quality of her polaroids justifies the idea of a Photomaton with Kangana. Striking snaps meet her best editorial to date. From Tank magazine, by Tarun Khiwal (styled by Chloe Kerman). She also got the cover of this issue which turns out to be a milestones in Kangana's career. She's got this calm beauty and... Zenia is... zuper zenius!

Zenia Sevastyanova @ Major (NY) Giant polas from Major New York are back! And our first one is the lovely (and beyond lovely) Zenia. The title was easy to find and quite funny. She's truly super genius. With her own personal touch. Quiet classic beauty (with a twist of course) relying on her dark brown hair and gorgeous green eyes, intense and classy look in editorials where her expressions go from feminine to funny. No wonder she's a favorite here: she's an Amica girl (she was featured in one of their... [Lire la suite]

I or Y, DIY

Katia Kulyzhka @ Women (Milan) She looks more mature or less childish but hasn't lost anything of that fresh vibe of her debuts. Katia still radiates. Shining and glowing. Good vibrations. Our living doll has improved her palette of expressions and emotions but remains über-impish on every single shot. She already graced a few pages in a recent issue of Jalouse dedicated to DIY fashion and a couple of catwalks in Paris. 5'8"5 and forever cute, the Ukrainian from Vo! Models in Kiev (home of Naty, Polina, Oxana...) is... [Lire la suite]

Meet Ona Marija !

Ona Marija @ Metropolitan (Lithuania) Lean, leggy and especially lovely, Ona Marija is our latest Lithuanian coming from the same agency as two of all-time favorites (and still promising rising stars) Ruta Rimkunaite and Karolina Kapustaite. Relentless scouting efforts and a better focus on the agency's image or aesthetic always pay in the end. Going step by step is also a good way to make sure you're heading to the right direction. Forward thinking doesn't mean being in an endless rush and sometimes you need time before... [Lire la suite]
