TMSRRE part 24: Simona

Simona Stoyanova @ New Madison (Paris) Like a résumé. These two polaroids from a sunny day in Paris are Simona's best statement. What you see is what you get: a unique model (from Bulgaria) with poise and charisma. A touch of darkness and even a cute side and here you go. No wonder she booked Kris Van Assche next to Belle (just below). She has this very precise and precious look requested for that show. We've been completely smitten by Simona's potential last January during Couture and seeing her on our first day of... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 23: Belle

Belle @ IMG (Paris) How many times we've been asked who is our favorite face of the season ? Several. We don't count but there are definitely more than one. Faces. And it's already our TMSRRE #23 so it might be more than twenty three. Belle has a place among them for sure. We knew it since the first day of the week in Paris. She was one of the first models we've met. At Kris Van Assche, one of the shows we'll keep in mind for its casting. Extremely well done, special and precious. Just like Belle herself. Maybe the... TMSRRE part 22: Kelsey

Kelsey Van Mook @ Next Some small shows can give you hopes and hints on what can be the next level. This is exactly what happened with Kelsey this season after she did a few ones in NY among those some we watch carefully. Then silence. Until a Sunday evening in Paris. Expectations of greatness turned into exciting reality. Kelsey was exclusive at Givenchy. And opened. First look is first impression and she made a strong one. If this breakthrough came as fast as a lightning, the reasons are more... [Lire la suite]

Meet Merle !

Merle @ Micha Models (The Netherlands) Latest little lady to join Micha Models' incredible new faces team. We've featured a lot of them lately but have a special feeling for 5'9 Merle. With a name that sounds as delicate as the song of a nightingale, she screams for spring and brings this light-hearted atmosphere to the page. Right in time on a sunny Thursday with her deeply expressive green eyes. Fresh, too fresh ? Too ealry ? It all depends on what you are focusing on. Here it's more discovery than... [Lire la suite]

Redhead-love goes on and on: meet Inge!

Inge @ Studio KLRP (Paris) With a perfect 5'11 silhouette and light red hair, she was the one to fit our latest Redhead Issue. And she's the girl that makes you want to rush back to Paris again. We hadn't enough time to meet with everyone. Hadn't enough time to see all the girls in town and, of course, this is always heartbreaking. Every week in Paris has its missed opportunities and we might have to count Inge among them. Though, we were lucky to get a couple of polas and her book is light yet promising. Fingers... The bottle of the genius was full of good wine getting better each season

Masha Tylena @ Storm (London) Instead of a top ten we have eight pictures of Masha from newest issue of Crash. We haven't seen her walking in the streets of the City of Lights but her editorial was one of the first thing we saw at the bookshop. A random glance and it stood out. Innocence but not only. Masha learnt how to blossom and let express the best of her potential. It took her a little while to give hundred percent of it in her editorial and we had to wait until the hype surrounding her went to down. Call it... [Lire la suite]

Meet Laura !

Laura Dauksyte @ Supermodels (Lithuania) There is something impish and something innocent about Laura, the same kind of thing that impressed us with models like Viktoriya Sasonkina or Laragh McCann, girls that leave their mark with expressive faces more than endless silhouettes. Laura is 5'9 nonetheless and, you might see it as a bonus from us, she's from Lithuania. Our favorite source or so.  Dark warm brown hair, a pleasant way to pose without any training. And without forcing, she's probably one of the most natural... [Lire la suite]

There is no smoke without a fire

Martha @ Next (NY), Union (London), Nathalie (Paris), Why Not (Milan) One day, maybe next week. We're going to turn our jacket inside out. It's a matter of time. Why not tomorrow ? Because there is a strike on Thursday so we'll be trapped in the office at night. Working till the morning. So we'll have time to turn the jacket after this. How ? You'll see. Now, just have a look a Martha. Maybe she'll give you a hint. Who knows ? Nobody knows. Not even James Mahon who had the... [Lire la suite]

Believe it or not: the train whistled twice

Christina @ IMG (NY) Some will win and some will lose, some were born to sing the blues. Little pieces of a song which started with that boy, born and raised in South Detroit. She's not from the same town but she's American. Hello America. Christina is 5'9"5 and looking better than ever. On Jonathan Leder's test and for real. Well, Jonathan's pictures are larger than life anyway (also see his recent work in magazines like Mirage, that one is definitely missing in our collection). When a great model work with... It's a secret but we've got (almost) the same glasses

Janete Friedrich @ One (NY) We thought about an article on Janete. Once or twice over the last few weeks. It was supposed to be a part of our TMSRRE series at the beginning, when she walked for Rad Hourani. Exclusively. Her only show of the season and simply the perfect match. The wise decision. Then it was our turn to make one. What was better ? An immediate post to highlight it could have been a good idea. A better one came a few days after, over the weekend and as London fashion week was already going one. Why not crowning... [Lire la suite]
