Fashion does it Better

The bottle of the genius was full of good wine getting better each season

Masha Tylena @ Storm (London) Instead of a top ten we have eight pictures of Masha from newest issue of Crash. We haven't seen her walking in the streets of the City of Lights but her editorial was one of the first thing we saw at the bookshop. A random glance and it stood out. Innocence but not only. Masha learnt how to blossom and let express the best of her potential. It took her a little while to give hundred percent of it in her editorial and we had to wait until the hype surrounding her went to down. Call it... [Lire la suite]

Meet Laura !

Laura Dauksyte @ Supermodels (Lithuania) There is something impish and something innocent about Laura, the same kind of thing that impressed us with models like Viktoriya Sasonkina or Laragh McCann, girls that leave their mark with expressive faces more than endless silhouettes. Laura is 5'9 nonetheless and, you might see it as a bonus from us, she's from Lithuania. Our favorite source or so.  Dark warm brown hair, a pleasant way to pose without any training. And without forcing, she's probably one of the most natural... [Lire la suite]

There is no smoke without a fire

Martha @ Next (NY), Union (London), Nathalie (Paris), Why Not (Milan) One day, maybe next week. We're going to turn our jacket inside out. It's a matter of time. Why not tomorrow ? Because there is a strike on Thursday so we'll be trapped in the office at night. Working till the morning. So we'll have time to turn the jacket after this. How ? You'll see. Now, just have a look a Martha. Maybe she'll give you a hint. Who knows ? Nobody knows. Not even James Mahon who had the... [Lire la suite]

Believe it or not: the train whistled twice

Christina @ IMG (NY) Some will win and some will lose, some were born to sing the blues. Little pieces of a song which started with that boy, born and raised in South Detroit. She's not from the same town but she's American. Hello America. Christina is 5'9"5 and looking better than ever. On Jonathan Leder's test and for real. Well, Jonathan's pictures are larger than life anyway (also see his recent work in magazines like Mirage, that one is definitely missing in our collection). When a great model work with... It's a secret but we've got (almost) the same glasses

Janete Friedrich @ One (NY) We thought about an article on Janete. Once or twice over the last few weeks. It was supposed to be a part of our TMSRRE series at the beginning, when she walked for Rad Hourani. Exclusively. Her only show of the season and simply the perfect match. The wise decision. Then it was our turn to make one. What was better ? An immediate post to highlight it could have been a good idea. A better one came a few days after, over the weekend and as London fashion week was already going one. Why not crowning... [Lire la suite]

Even cheetahs are having a rest (but not too long)

Daria Strokous @ IMG (Paris) There is such a quiet atmosphere in this editorial by Eric Weidt for L'Officiel Paris march '09. Out of time and out of tune. Don't know. Out of this world maybe. A little bit the way it is these days. The after fashion weeks is always strange, everything seems familiar but we feel like strangers in our own life. Well, it never lasts. The pace is getting quickly faster again and we barely have time to sit down and relax. Things are going on again.Things should go on for Daria Strokous as... [Lire la suite]

Meet Paulina !

Paulina Klimek @ Eastern Models (Poland) It seems our choice was the future. After hesitating in remixing the past (well, we did it a bit), we're running to the future with Paulina Klimek, 5'10"5 from Poland. One of Eastern Models' new faces to remember for now and tomorrow. As always. Delicate chameleon who seems to play in front the camera (which seems to love her) without thinking of it too much. Delicately dramatic and sweet enough: one look at her digitals is enough to get her looks, one look at her tests leaves you... [Lire la suite]

Roll the dice one more time

Giedre Dukauskaite @ New York Models (NY), Viva (Paris), Models1 (London), Women (Milan) Homesick ? Not really, not in the usual way or the simply the other way round. Thinking of last week. And the previous one. Walking up and down the boulevards, now streets are just too small. Town is too small, like a village where you don't want to be notorious in any kind of way. Thinking of the anonymous big town. Too big to get used to, promising you the shock of the new every morning. Or almost. It's great to be able to update our page in... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 21: Polina

Polina Barbasova @ Union (London), Ford (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (Milan) If you really want it, take it slow. That's what we could say about Polina's career. Especially what she did this season. The way she did it. Slow in NY, almost silent but booking some underrated and overlooked shows with excellent castings. Slow in Milan but booking our biggest favorite there: Antonio Marras. Slow in Paris until... she exclusively appeared at Givenchy. Kind of crowning for our beloved Polina (from Team Models in Oslo). She had... [Lire la suite]

Meet Olga !

Olga Nestyak @ LMA Models (Russia) It's all about brunettes today. Sunday afternoon, the sun is back from behind the clouds the noisy (but ridiculously small) carnival is going away to some other streets and we're glad to be back full-time. Paris was amazing and these crazy weeks will always belong to our favorite moments in a year but we can't live without doing our "background work". Searching for the new thrill, looking around, finding new inspirations, going where our newest vision will lead us. Waking up in... [Lire la suite]
