TMSRRE part 2: Gracie

Gracie Carvalho @ Marilyn (NY) We've already featured her. Was not so long ago, brazilian shows were just starting. Things have moved fast forward for Gracie, she's in NY. She's in town. With a book now filled with new tests right in time for the shows, we'd just say she's perfectly ready. And we're obviously not the only ones to think so as her first steps on f/w 09-10 runways were at BCBG Max Azria, perfectly fitting the casting which include some more favorites like Imogen Morris-Clarke, Katie Fogarty, Anabela Belikova,... Draw me a wonder

Lena Lomkova @ Premier (London), Trump (NY), Why Not (Milan), Major (Paris) Her agencies seem to work so well on her development. In every town. After a delightful s/s 09 season including Prada, Miu Miu, Paul Smith, Armand Basi, Giambattista Valli and Hussein Chalayan - yes, all are very directional and selective - her editorial book is getting thicker and stronger by the day. From Paris we've seen her in Citizen K which always features the very best new faces (think of Egle Tvirbutaite or Giedre Dukauskaite a while... [Lire la suite]

She's so Paris, she's so Milan... she's so graceful wherever she goes

Alexandra Tomlison @ d'management (Milan) There is always a surprise at the corner of the street, there is always something to find by chance on a Saturday morning. Our head was in the latest collections from NY and we were just passing by, having lunch, when we saw a new issue of Elle. French edition, Bette Franke on the cover. Opened it and saw Alexandra Tomlinson. Big surprise, huge delight. Alexandra might be a real Couture queen and Galliano-girl, the best of her book is all-editorial. We remember her from Vogue Paris a... [Lire la suite]

Meet Ilona !

Ilona @ Sergey Nagorny (Belarus) She's our favorite from Nagorny models since the day we saw her first tests online. We're very lucky to introduce her freshest digitals, meet our beloved 5'10 and 15 Ilona. She caught our eyes for having such a face that is both strong and very, very delicate. Intense eyes, lovely nose and mouth expression are on the delicate, sweet side while her strong jawline, cheekbones or forehead are adding a more spectacular and sculptural aspect to her beauty. Balanced and quite suprising, the kind of... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 1: Heleen

Heleen @ New York Models (NY) Going, going. Here we go again. TMSRRE's actual start and picked Heleen to open the series. We haven't spotted her on the runways yet and that's no wonder at everything has just begun... So why calling this a runway review without any fresh news from the catwalks so far ? Perhaps we're even more into expectations and wanted to highlight Heleen at her new home in New York. We've already featured her once in a sweet little intro, remember the days you had to say hello to Heleen and meet... [Lire la suite]

Silence is the way forward (shout out loud)

Vaida @ First (London) She's editorial, she's directional, she's surreal. Enjoy the silence or keep the music getting louder. It's just the same in one way, just another way to wake up in another world. Or not to go to bed at all. Wondering which is better. We cook at 1am but we don't eat. She's editorial, she's in London, she has caught the attention of the editorial world in London. It almost mean she's London. At least she's our vision of London. This is the face we want to see on glossy covers of british magazines. She... [Lire la suite]

Together they are strong (black and blue)

Masha Kirsanova @ Trump (NY), Ella Kandyba @ Trump (NY) Young talents, bright brilliant energy, fresh and daring etc. Themes for today that have been too much viewed with the eyes of yesteryear. Not at Trump at least. Not when Bradford Gregory holds the camera. Not when the young and strong ladies are called Masha Kirsanova (another avant garde Avant girl) and Ella Kandyba. If you're looking forward to seeing some people crossing some borders and breaking down fences, here you go. It's not that spectacular... [Lire la suite]

Our pillows were calling but frozen memories are stronger

Dace Burkevica @ Ford (NY) We met her once. Was in Couture. She looked sensitive, her eyes were expressive. Highly expressive. Unforgettable memories but we're quite glad she wasn't there for Couture week this time. No need for her to be in Paris in January. New York is a better place. Even on the coldest days of the year. Shooting in the snow, making her portfolio looking cooler. And still sensitive-looking, if this makes sense. In other words, the way James Mahon captured her is... [Lire la suite]

A rainbow at midnight

Thais Frotcher @ Major (NY) Major has a major package full of major girls this season. We could post a few ones every day and still have more updates on them to come. It's just a matter of timing and letting the invasion look graceful. Thais is just delicate enough to open the ball and walk the first steps, we picked her without hesitating. Her name popped up in our head so naturally, a little voice at midnight told us it's time for Thais. Heartbreaking kids always have this strange power. Catching our attention... [Lire la suite]

Fingers are dancing on the keyboard on the rythm of her looks

Janete Friedrich @ One (NY) Guess what. Well, don't guess, just have a careful look at the pictures above. Janete, once again. We can't help, we can't stop. Janete. Friedrich. Yes, yes and then ? Have you noticed ? It's as small detail that tells many things. If you're as much in love with these new ones as we are it must be you love her looks as much as we do. We're talking about her own looks, her features. No bright orange this time. No visual trick, no hair affair. Just Janete. Striking. Meet her how... [Lire la suite]
