Meet the Golden Girl

Alek Alexeyeva @ Select (London) We featured twice on Lexposure.net this week. First a complete overview then a special update on her recent editorial by Solve Sundsbo. Once, twice and we hope to do it again. Read why we think she's so special (and we're not the only ones as she walked for Christopher Kane, Marni, Chanel Pre-Fall...) and see by yourself why this girl gold. Pure gold.

Pushing it to the extreme

Karin @ First (London) Delicate yet not really talkative, expressing with her incredible eyes. It's how you could describe Karin (from EMA in Estonia) at first sight. With quite a will to work. After all it's better to be talked about than talkative and presence doesn't mean you have to be chatty. High hopes meet extreme look for the upcoming season. Her pictures went in a mail where the only word was Electro. Makes sense, she's electrifying. Meet Karin.

Double delight and double drama for a double dose of Dasha

Dasha Malygina @ Supreme (NY) It's in Flair's Americana issue, two editorials with Dasha Malygina, one by Dan Martensen and the other by Beau Grealy. Variations around a theme, two visions and one Dasha who perfectly fits. Who melts into then strengthen her presence. Halfway between the role and her own role (read: the one she plays on polas at least), halfway between a dark Dasha and an anonymous american woman. Presence and performance: quiet passenger or dizzy doll. American ballet, Russian dancer, Italian magazine. Sounds... [Lire la suite]

She too can bite her tee

Alexandrina Turcan @ Mandarina Models She is a bit everywhere today and it might be significant. We knew since last month that she signed with Beatrice in Milan where she already worked on her book. The idea to put her here and now came while working on Myf's update - saw the latter biting her T-shirt in the story below. Alexandrina's test might be of a totally different kind, we thought it was a funny and interesting way to introduce her. Stylings and atmospheres are like day and night from one series to the other, the... [Lire la suite]

Dangerously delectable

Myf Shepherd @ Next She would smell delectable. She could be dangerous, too, but remains polite. That's the intro of her editorial in 10 by Cédric Buchet (styled by Sabina Schreder). It might also be an intro to Myf. We've been watching her pola session one week and were impressed by how she moved (and found the right pose) in front of the camera. This is for the scene. The polas themselves were obvious masterpieces as well, build on striking contrasts between dark hair, pale skin, black outfit and white wall. Kinetic and... [Lire la suite]

Feelings you don't need to decipher

Kristina Tsvetkova @ Elite (NY) First time we saw her was in backstage at some shows in Paris. Maybe the Louvre, maybe the Beaux Arts. Can't remember exactly, her face is a much stronger memory. She was like she came out of the blue in the middle of the room with that warm yellow light between journalists, make-up artists and other models getting dressed again. Was one of these shows without champagne and with much charm. One of this shows you're not obsessed with your glass of whatever and take enough time to look around. And meet... [Lire la suite]

She's not guilty for her own moonlights

Siri Tollerod @ Trump (NY), Joy (Milan) Another Siri story, by Dusan Reljin in latest issue of 10 magazine. After being the muse of Miles Aldridge and the cover-girl of Muse, she's getting colorful, playful and keeps the precious look alive. Delicate as she should always be, girly clown having a rest in the shadows and in Chanel. She already proved several times how powerful her editorial potential is although we're always begging for more. We know her as a chameleon and a real actress, able to show much emotion in many... A Major package

Here we go - our selection from Major FW 09-10 show package. You might have seen this on COACD and been intrigued like us by the artwork of Brad Fisher. Eye-catching design for an eye-catching team of models. Sessilee first. Memories from last week, couture fashion shows. She's the one that leaves an unforgettable mark in your mind. Can't get her walk and presence out of our heads. Add Mariya just featured two posts below, a perfect touch of red with our all-time favorite Holland, some stunning surprises called Zenia or Edsa, NY... [Lire la suite]

Yulia is much, much, much more

Yulia Kharlapanova @ Women (NY) Just featured on Lexposure this morning, we found Yulia again in latest issue of 10 after a quick trip to the bookshop. Our bag was heavy but the editorial's mood is rather light-hearted. Avant Moscow's most successful model is simply proving our words were neither vain nor vague. If she's perfect for Moschino - she fits the aesthetic and statements of the brand, she also has the right potential and power to reach various other targets. Always with that natural ease, expressive from head to toe... [Lire la suite]

Totally incredible (in a totally different way)

Mariya Alekhina @ Major (NY) Among Major NY's newcomers of the season, our favorite so far is called Mariya. She's Russian, she's 19 and she's no less than 5'11. Sounds like a marvelous blend if you add the four polas above. Mixing the best to the best. Also, we truly love the idea of a high contrast between Ida and Mariya - our kind of statement for the upcoming season and beyond. Rather than one specific kind of beauty dominating the runways, we believe that every girl that has something of her own can get the attention she... [Lire la suite]
