Mamamama... Marloes again

Marloes Horst @ Joy (Milan) We read on the most read fashion forum this morning or yesterday that it was a real emergency to give some editorial job to Marloes. Seems it has already been done as she's in the newest Muse by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones. The very best timing possible. It's quite good to keep the news coming after walking for Prada. And that's just what's happening now. Already our third entry on Marloes.

A little bit

Yulia Leontieva @ Metropolitan (Paris) She was one of our favorite newcomers during last Couture fashion week and it turned out she lived up to our expectations. Starting the season with no less than Nina Ricci and closing it with no less (again) than Lanvin, it means she simply managed to get two of these shows with both selective and daring castings (read: famous names+outstanding new faces). Some McCann moments

  Laragh McCann @ Women (NY) A bit more than one month ago, just a few days before NY fashion week we thought about an article on Laragh McCann. It turned into a longer post than expected and was finally called Twiglight raspberries and misty mélopées for various random reason. Build with polas and a part of her showcard where she was pictured with that lovely newsboy-cap, the detail that intrigued us and led to such a huge article was her incredible ability to embody various characters for the need of very different runway...   Chantal Abbott @ Crystal (Paris) If we had to build our own top-10 of the season, at least for Paris, there would be a safe spot for Chantal Abbott there. No need to have the longest and the heaviest show list, her bookings are showing a much more interesting profile including no less than Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Bernhard Willhelm and Martin Margiela. Would be impossible to pick our favorite show pictures or decide which one was more important for her career. Let's say almost every single catwalk appearance was worth a few lines. From NY to Paris, including Milan and London with a special mention to her british bookings. Power Girl

Giedre Dukauskaite @ New York Models We can't help. Thinking it's Giedre's season in some way. She doesn't have the longest list of shows yet Prada and Miu Miu on it are enough to say she did very, very well. Besides her runway performances, she's keeping her magnificent editorials coming and coming. No less than three incredible stories in magazines like Muse, Tokion and especially French (pictures above). All three just released last week. TMSRRE part 15: Marloes

  Marloes Horst @ Joy (Milan) Last review from Milan shows, a bit late. Let's just say better late than never and better four fantastic polas two weeks later than a less appealing post in time. Marloes impressed us more than we thought and was one of the real surprises at Prada (along with Giedre, Yulia Chumak and Nimuë Smit). The cute Marloes is now the impressive Marloes and looking so expressive (and expensive?) on her polaroids reminds us of some previous favorites that caught our eyes with only snaps. Oh, Miss Rogova...

Laine Rogova @ d'Management (Milan) ...only your fantasy can break a heart. We first noticed her when she signed with Ford NY (mother agency is 2B Models in Latvia) and even we thought it was a little early when she popped up there (read: was too far from the actual start of the season) but we always loved this kind of cute models that have abilities to grow beyond their cuteness. Meet Lisanne !

  Lisanne De Jong @ Joy (Milan) She's Dutch, she's 18, she's 5'10"5 and newly signed with Joy who just brought the career of another dutch girl - Marloes Horst - at a higher level a few weeks ago in Milan when she did Prada. After ten days in Paris and only a few opportunity to post very new faces here, you can imagine we're pretty glad to introduce Lisanne tonight.
