Fashion does it Better

Meet Ave-Maarja !

Ave-Maarja @ EMA (Estonia) So fresh and just in at EMA in Estonia, striking face with sharp features, Ave-Maarja caught our eyes with... the incredible shape of her eyes ! There's no big mystery in what makes the actual mystery. And no doubt there's something obviously mysterious in her way to capture all the attention around. Beware !

Neverending is Neverending

Tessa Williams @ Next (NY) No lies, Tessa and us is a NEVERENDING STORY, we've already mentioned it in our previous entry dedicated to her dramatic sense of posing and natural attitude. The story continues with two sets of marvelous polaroids, getting deeper into Tessa's magical expressions. We love redheads. And we love to love a girl like her.

How to start a Neverending Story

Tessa Williams @ Next (NY) Some models are "editorial" or "high fashion". Some models are simply "couture". Count Tessa among the last ones. We've already been totally smitten by the first pictures we've seen but now we can say how much we're in love with this young genius. A unique attitude: laid back, free-and-easy and in the same time so dramatic. Doesn't she look dangerously beautiful on these five new pictures ? More to come. Limitless love !

Meet Aiste-Regina !

Aiste-Regina @ Baltic Model Management (Lithuania), Muse (NYC), Elite (Milan) She got noticed at some NY f/w 08-09 shows like Adam Lippes or Vivienne Tam as one of the most striking oustsider of the season. Who, after all, did really expect her to be such an eye-catcher at that place, at that time ? And also who didn't notice these incredible cheekbones, this magical jawline, pretty chin and gorgeous, intense eyes ? Looks like she's one of the new lady unforgettable of the fashion world. We'd like to see this magic in print, we... [Lire la suite]

This Mysterious Olena

Olena Kryvoruchko @ Studio KLRP (Paris) We were big fans of Lanvin since the purple and the sleeves disappeared yet we have to credit the latest collection for some bold and clever choices when it comes to the castings. They didn't overlook some models from smaller agencies when they were fitting well the show's mood and shapes. Of course there was Astri, our short blond-haired darling among the f/w 08-09 crop but we shouldn't overlook another one called Olena and signed with Studio KLRP. Perfect jawline and incredible bone... [Lire la suite]

Meet Nicola !

Nicola Haffmans @ Name Models (The Netherlands), New Models Agency (Belgium), Why Not (Milan) We've been totally smitten by the delicate poses of this eye-cathing strawberry blonde in her latest editorial in current Biba. A delicate shade closer to blond than red yet still having this precious little special thing we always love with redheads. Something out of this world but made for today. And tomorrow. There are still a couple of places where Nicola needs to go now. Think NY and Paris.

Icon ?

Erin Heatherton @ Joy Models (Milan) We're not impressed by Meisel's latest cover for Vogue Italia. Not thrilled by another cover for Natalia Vodianova. Don't see the point, don't see this mag's vibe in this choice. Want to be astonished by their covers. At least we can still rely on the contents. Sure they'll be an editorial with Natalia. But some nice surprises to expect as well. As Erin Heatherton in the beauty editorial and a few fresh faces to expect. Icon ? Icons ? We don't really need to be told who it is and what makes an... Just in. Just in time !

Tessa Williams @ Next (NY) Just in and just in time, Tessa's fresh tests... just out a couple of minutes after we introduced her. No wonder we're even more in love with her delicate poses, halfway to Lily Cole and Lera Sheremeta.

Meet Tessa !

Tessa Williams @ Next (NY) Tessa is one of the latest redheads to catch our eyes and win our hearts. It's called capturing the attention. Obviously an awesome addition to Next NY's newfaces board, she should appear very soon on Next Paris one. With already a strong book built in Japan, Tessa has shown some impressive editorial abilities. Bold attitude with a touch of fresh innocence can lead you far. And so does a copper hair color.

Siri Tollerod @ Joy Models (Milan) If you have the opportunity to meet Siri or, at least, to see how she walks and move, you'll probably understand the true reasons of her success. Not just a blond, cute girl with a tiny silhouette. Not just a model that makes the clothes look good on the catwalk. There is something very delicate yet almost odd in the way she moves, walks and... poses. That' what Venetia Scott brilliantly captured for her story in Vogue UK. The theme and the colors are probably nothing new yet for this... [Lire la suite]
