Fashion does it Better

Hello America!

Britney Nola @ APM Model Management (NY) "Every once in a long while I find a face I cant live without." That's exactly what happened to each of us recently and that's what happened to Jonathan Leder as well, calling Britney Nola the "best new face you have never heard of". We always love to feel the others thrill as much as we love when we suddenly get under one model's spell. But the best thing is how it all makes sense to day. We fell for two new classic beauties currently working in... [Lire la suite]

Doughty Dreamer

Valerie Van Der Graaf @ SPS (The Netherlands) The weather is so nice and the atmosphere is so odd that we were just thinking about doing a post like "We Are Closed Until Next Week" when Valerie's latest materials (for designer Elliot Atkinson) arrived, with a theme that is the exact opposite of the mood here. Spooky, greyish black and white picture which immediately reminds you of fall and makes you feel like tomorrow is the 1st of September. The contrast is rather refreshing and redirects you to topics... [Lire la suite]

Werk It!

Anne Sophie Monrad @ Modelwerk (Hamburg) Unlike others who start as a storm on worldwide runways, Anne Sophie Monrad started her career with an editorial strength many catwalk queens would go green to have and that some of them will never ever reach even after seasons. Editorial girl ? The new way to go ? We don't want to make any clear statement on what's right or wrong today for a model starting an international career but one sure thing is we do love the way Anne Sophie did it so far. Editorial galore... [Lire la suite]

Introducing: Florentine

Florentine van Houten @ SPS (The Netherlands) After following, almost day by day some of the girls at SPS, it was about time for an update on a model who just recently signed with the agency and started to work on her book. Same high standards as the others on board, fresh look and beauty of the beginner as bonuses: here comes Florentine van Houten, 15-years-old and 5'11 (180) already. Florentine didn't only capture our attention for her face and silhouette, we were also captivated by her very laid-back attitude and amazing... [Lire la suite]

Fast Strike

Dagmara @ AW Agence (Poland) After Sylwia and Idalia who both got extended introductions here, Dagmara was the next one on our list from AW Agence. And from her boutique mother agency to the big network that invited her for a short stay in Paris to do some new tests, Dagmara's career seems to have begun before we even heard of her. You'll have to wait until the end of the year, though, to really see her take off as she's currently just 15 and a half. But as we wrote in last Friday's Meet the Kids feature, potential is... City Life

Chloe Dole @ City (Paris) Take a French girl signed with the epitome of the Paris agency, a Paris-based photographer and add a teaspoon of London cool and a touch of New York style. You get Chloe Dole by Alexandre Brunet. Raw story, nothing but the truth when the truth gets molded by the photographer's imagination and his photographic tricks. Captuted as she were suddenly kicked out of bed in the middle of night with her sleepy yet impish expression and delicately scruffy (paradoxes are so possible), Chloe manages to... [Lire la suite]

Caitlin's Eyes

Caitlin @ Micha Models (The Netherlands) Time went by since we first featured Caitlin, freckly beauty from Micha Models and time went by since our last Redhead Love entry as well. So, it is not only a warmly welcome post but almost a necessity for us as writers. Caitlin's career took off slowly yet steadily, relentlessly adding interesting editorial pieces to her book both at home and abroad. If her red hair and freckles are obvious highlights, that power in prints might come from another ingredient of her potential: the eyes.... [Lire la suite]

Less Talk, More Marilyn

Liu Wen @ Marilyn (NY) Even if we were about to put it in the love and bookmark section, it's not so much about agency's communication and strategies this time. Of course, we have to pay attention and tribute again to these short polaroid-updates on Marilyn NY's blog just using one picture which quickly turns as a statement when you read the page. But what makes us love and bookmark again the page, is the recent moves in Liu Wen's career and how we relate to this evolution. We started working with d'management in Milan quite long... Redefine

Were just writing on that recreate theme about One Management's online moves, it could have been a suitable title for an entry on Ubah Hassan too. Not only regarding her own career, also the way her beauty moves the lines on several different fronts. The idea of a feature on Ubah came to our minds while working on Bruna Tenorio's story by Christian MacDonald a few times ago as we learnt they live in the same area of New York and by same area we mean quite close. And it kept making sense when you consider Ubah is a perennial Ralph... [Lire la suite]

Recreate

Alicia Kuczman @ One (NY) Recreate: give a new life or energy to. Exactly what's going on right now with One Management's facebook page, back to life with major updates over the last few days going from Icons do it better to the Lil'Ones latest pieces. Or recreate: engage recreational activities rather than work. Would fit for Alicia on these pictures even if she's actually at work. Best thing is when it doesn't show up and she's already famous for being that natural kind of model who just is herself and does not play a role. She... [Lire la suite]
