Main Dish

The launch of a new magazine is always a reason to rejoice and the launch of Luncheon was enough happiness to let us forget about the rain and even more about any kind of ride outside. Instead we keep ourselves behind closed doors, indulging with beauty and vegetables (and fish-candies!), especially excited to read names like Solve Sundsbo or Paolo Roversi among several others. And see Anna Cleveland by this very same Paolo who also has a promising interview inside. Just all we needed to feel hungry for some more heavenly... [Lire la suite]

Love Still Lives Here Anymore

We were looking for this from the moment we saw her cover on. The most mysterious model of her era finally scores an editorial that suits her beauty the right way (well, german Harper's has done it too but that's way too light and we dislike being that underwhelmed). Sam Rollinson has that little thing able to create a big storm inside your brain, out of a lonely rainbow, seems so easy to say yet remains pretty unique when you think of it. Oxy-love we have for her, oxy-brains she leaves behind – we said mysterious and mean... [Lire la suite]

Cheriladyladyladylei (Papier Tue-Mouche in Lucky Love)

Whoever takes the polas at Trump is an accomplished genius. Whoever told her to dress in green shares the same quality as mentioned before (if she took the decision herself, then she, Katie Moore, is that very same genius, especially with the shoes she wears – would love to be them just to be in touch with her feet). We usually wait for editorials to come but she can turn a single snap into a piece of art and that leaves the wildest hopes of ours alive and hard beating (heart-crunched!). Whatever the alls and all the abouts,... [Lire la suite]

Milky Ways. Fancy as it sounds, Blue still Breeds Blue

Sorry to say so but it was Adele Exarchopoulos (was going to write Anarchopoulos, and way below for the fanas) who reminded me of Lea (Seydoux, say sweet), there's no bad reminder after all and Exa is far from being the worst of all. No Schtrimpf-blue hair, no aired boobies there, just a face to let you guess. We're like dirty cakes willing to be baked and sliced but that's another story for the tories. Right now only the spark itching our eyes counts and tomorrow morning seems like a buff illusion. We're pancakes and do... [Lire la suite]

Smoked Cheddar (Sexy Taxy Lady)

No one else can make a taxi so sexy. Gotta run, gotta fly if possible but had no money, no bucks at all and there she went, out of Miu Miu and our last day was always the worst one or two. Despite our dramatical budget cuts, feeding an english rose with pains au chocolat and forcing her to walk along. But there came Edita Vilkeviciute, all in smile, naked smile, full teeth, and sparkle in the eyes. X-tra large we knew we were not alone, yet buckless and smelly, we took a ride on Avenue Foch. Here she still is, still gorg... [Lire la suite]

Loco-motion Django

Love is a lie, well, love is a total mess, but that's no good reason not to tap into it. In the total secrets of our so-called loneliness, we see a lot of photographs, pictures of all kinds, and fall in love once, twice, thrice (fource?) a day. This time our multi-broken hearts fell for Aamito Lagum's latest editorial gig, namely for The Edit and duely photographed by Julia Noni. A treat for the eye and its half, a delight for the brain and the most beautiful heart-attack we could ever die by. Carefree expressions can breed, and... [Lire la suite]

Warm Sweat Journal

One of the very best surprises of the week, from the cover to the so-far-discovered contents. For the record, the covergirl is Charlize Theron by Josh Olins and is worth a look, almost deserved a feature here if we had to see more of the main editorial – reminding us she is still the performer we love, as she was in Monster, the movie we still play some days at night (yeah, pun). Enough with Charlize and Josh, let's focus on Imaan (Hammam) and/by Daniel (Jackson), an editorial story (for WSJ) called Spring Fashion's New... [Lire la suite]

Les Enfants Terribles

Two of our favorites, two we witnessed growing and going up are now invincible, unstoppable their own way. Either cartoon heroins or beauty queens, boudary pushers in all they do or touch. Namely Kadri Vahersalu (above) and Charlotte Tomas(zewska). The teenage queenies who gave us so much hopes are now shooting full-force and non-stop. The gorgeous girls with guts never need any agreement to give us the shock and delight pushing us to take the pen off the desk and write. They know no comfort zone, they don't allow you to know... A Cheeky Chick on a Chic Trip

Fasten your seatbelts, she's ready to make it expensive – exactly her main skill. Life is as fun and unpredictable as being attacked by a chihuahua on your way to the supermarket, and so is also Leila Goldkuhl's career: impossible to guess where she'll pop up next but always delightful to see the outcome. From pure beauty headshots to tonge-in-cheek situations, she works everything out so far. With this heartmelting expression on her face that seems to say: ''I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened this way''. Just like these... [Lire la suite]

Never Throw the Baby Out with the Bathwater

Just the morning we were complaining about the lack of Lindsey Wixson in magazines today – too many high-end catalogues yet to few more 'daring' editorial stuff – came the cover and story from ODDA Magazine, a bi-annual publication that had to steal our heart this week for its relevant choice. The theme of this tenth issue is Tribute and it was about time we pay ours to this game-changer who brought back the fun mood in fashion modeling. First noticed for this uncanny mouth of hers (and overall unique features), she has... [Lire la suite]
