A die-hard soft spot

Alana Kuznetsova @ Women Direct (NY), Women (Milan), Women (Paris) Funny how history stutters sometimes, even without proper reasons. A few seasons ago, Alana was among our first features during the shows and we must admit it was mostly because we love her look. This time, we won't do any mystery on what push us to post a few more digitals of Ms. Kuznetsova: the pure pleasure to write a piece on a girl we consider as quite talented. Her very own strength in print work had opportunities to express on various editions of Vogue... [Lire la suite]

Iggy popped up

Iggy @ Aquarelle (Russia) You can call your agency Aquarelle Models and make bold statements like signing a girl with extreme features. You can be a girl in pastel colors (that blond hair, pale skin, blue eyes) and go for a daring nickname. You can make cuteness so rock'n'roll with a little bit of imagination and a good sense of image. New agency from Moscow, sleek aesthetic all over the website using watercolors as main theme and trademark, Aquarelle mostly impressed us for the high-quality... [Lire la suite]

Speak out, don't talk about

Nancy Williams @ FM (London) We didn't know flowers could blossom on macadam. Didn't know but had to admit it as the new truth and to forget about the old one and any kind of common (non)sense. Always thought this (fashion) world is strange but has never looked as strange as today. As right now. A matter of timing, of the way news started to pile up all day endlessly and randomly. Started right, though. Started with two pictures of Nancy Williams, 5'9 (176), FM Agency and cool flashy hair/pale skin combo. Gazing in the... [Lire la suite]

That's the only thing we really know

Valerija Kelava @ Next (NY, Paris, London, Milan) Couldn't not plan another feature on Valerija, the heat became too hard to ignore. After seing her flawless and poised  at Chanel Haute Couture, betwitching at Prada Menswear and after running to the closest bookshop to get her latest stories in magazine, a few more lines on Ms. Kelava were as obvious as driking coffee in the morning. Last time we talked about the dark-haired dark-horse of last season was for an editorial shared with another favorite, Jenny Sinkaberg in... [Lire la suite]

Ukrainian Tales

Inni @ Image Discovery (Ukraine) Next chapter of Image Discovery's story looks like a ukrainian tale or let's say two different short stories. First roles went to Karina and Inni with our one and only Venya Brykalin behind the camera. No princesses and no monsters in this tale, no fairies and no worries. And a big bit of everything mixed in a fake randomness. It looks like pure polas, it just a little more. The styling makes the picture, not the size of the camera. And the moment tells the story. Inni already enjoyed a test not so... [Lire la suite]

Latest Addi(c)tion: Patrycja

Patrycja @ Eastern (Poland) Not latest arrival in New York, sorry if you understood it this way... but latest addition to Eastern Models board in Warsaw. Whimsical, ethereal and other lovely adjectives could fit for Patrycja who caught our eyes with... her eyes! We're quite in a playful mood this afternoon, might be the exaggerated number of cups of coffee this morning. Back to the heart of our topic, Patrycja is a 15-years-old young lady from Poland who can also rely on her 5'9"5 (177) height to... [Lire la suite]

We know what you did last Summer

Hanna Samokhina @ Just WM (Paris) First time we dropped a few words on Hanna Samokhina was last Summer, July exactly if our memories aren't just getting as crazy as us. "Hanna the allrounder" which was supposed to highlight some extreme versatility balanced by quite an unforgettable look, halfway between viscerally unusual and purely gorgeous. Quite a mix, right ? Hanna is more than a formula, though. You can have a perfect mixture of features, it wouldn't work so well without a touch of unexplainable charm. Latest... [Lire la suite]

Together Forfuckingever ?

Tura Kenny and Ann Kenny @ DNA (NY) Wouldn't be the first time we feature twins on FDIB though our past experiences taught us we could have opted for a different approach. DNA's vision and promotion of the Kenny sisters (from New Jersey) gave us a hint on how we should or at least could introduce two girls sharing one look only separated by a few (worthy) details like... hair color, as in our current example. Ann the brunette, Tura the blonde. But still too simplistic if you consider their... [Lire la suite]

Everybody loved the show

Tetyana Melnychuk @ Marilyn (NY) The Tetyana Melnychuk show by Jonathan Waiter. That's probably how we should have named this short story exploring Tetyana's most unexpected sides including the most precious and vulnerable. We finally went for everybody loved the show as these pieces of work were actually milestones for everyone and a great moments - we imagine. For the photographer, the model, her mother agent from Argentina and for our own eyes, when the set arrived in front of them. We surely knew Tetyana was a special one... [Lire la suite]

Sweetness, undercover

Odile Coco @ SPS (The Netherlands) Velvet eyes and soft mood, sweetness in disguise behind strong features (that cheekbones-jawline combo!), quiet yet determinated gaze and lovely light-brown locks. The perfect portrait in three pictures. Odile Coco's development goes by and new materials keep popping up regularly. Currently handled by Marilyn Paris, her portfolio just saw a new addition raising its level again - new test by photographer Hugues Laurant who did a wonderful job capturing what we'd call Odile's...
