Ghost Track that brings the Swing Back

Sandrah Hellberg @ Mikas (Sweden) We haven't been able to pick our copy of Dealer de Luxe yet but we'll add it to our shopping-list in bold red underlined in fluorescent yellow. As always, after all, as the square glossy is one of our usual must buy. We can already offer you a quick preview of the editorial jewels you'll find inside this Fall, though. A short story with ghostly light by photographers Waldemar & Max, a combo made of Waldemar Hansson and Max Modén (we also invite you to have a look at... [Lire la suite]

This Perpetual Twinkle in her Eyes

Irina Mastikhina @ Avant (Russia) Perennial favorite and forever fresh, Irina Mastikhina (Avant's darling recently signed with Silent Paris, by the way) has this incredible talent for reinvinting herself shoot after shoot, test after editorial. True chameleon jumping from one mood to the other in front of Lev Efimov's camera, playing with the atmosphere like an impish kid with his toys. That's maybe where the strength comes from, an endlessly playful attitude that allows her to give hundred percent of herself to her... [Lire la suite]

Graphically Graceful

Natalie Keyser @ Elite (NY) Natalie was our first crush of all the sensational models from the dream-team Pulse/Elite. Endless legs, strawberry-blond hair and an innate talent for looking effortlessly elegant on any picture. As easy as it sounds and as striking on every new piece added to her portfolio. Last one could be the most prestigious to date, a true visual delight from newest issue of 10 Magazine shot by Serge Leblon. Sharing the spotlights with another perennial favorite of ours, Giedre... Deluxe De Rijk

Anna De Rijk @ Viva (Paris), Viva (London), Women (Milan), DNA (NY) Magazines like Vogue Italia and now 10 couldn’t miss a model like her and we certainly understand their choice: there is something about Anna you probably won’t see twice. If she’s poised at an unmatched level, she also can appear as limitlessly playful and several pictures of this editorial by Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer (styled by David Vandewal) have a subtle touch of humour. Last but not least, the name of the story, Fantastical, sounds... [Lire la suite]

Cocteau Twig

Julia Kosheleva @ LMA (Russia) What a short hairdo can do for you ? Not much if you don't have Julia's face, poise and presence. Half joking. If a hairdo can change you a lot, Julia Kosheleva's appeal goes far beyond the original haircut. In the vein of LMA's unique faces, with that uncanny beauty as a trademark (otherwordly, right ?) and beyond amazing attitude in front of the camera, our 18-years-old girl has even more treasures than her pictures would tell. Her look is one in a million, her height peaks at 5'11 (180) and...... [Lire la suite]

Inspiration counts

Laurel Stovall @ New York Models (NY) Laurel certainly belongs to the most inspiring models of her generation. Inspiration might be the exact word to describe all these little things that make her truly special. A muse in making, an inspiration for photographers and any kind of creative who has a chance to work with her. Kristiina Wilson seems to be among them and the results of their latest session together is pure wonder. Shadows and lights, quiet yet slightly playful, this short story relies on Kristiina's... No need to describe

Dana Korstenbroek @ SPS (The Netherlands) Dana is one of the rare models you absolutely can't put in any category except her own or in all possible categories at the same time. Multi-tasked in front of the camera, a totally unique face yet with the kind of beauty that can appeal to quite a broad audience: she seems to play on every front and seems to make it work each time. Perfectly. Last piece of her portfolio was shot by Gilbert François who already captured Amy Post from SPS recently (and was able to unveil the most unexepected... [Lire la suite]

The Mallory Show

Mallory @ Wilhelmina (NY) The sweetest surprise of the day is this impish-looking, phenomenal ballet-dancer from Wilhelmina. Mallory, 5'9'5 (32-24-35) with her complete batch of digitals. We just couldn't take our eyes off them, mostly for the incredible variety among the moods and the palette of expressions they cover. Relying on the very simple principle of polaroids being a documentary on the model's potential, the only look fancy because of Mallory's playful faces and use of the styling. Making it her own....
