Anna and Marie
Anna de Rijk @ Viva (Paris)
It's not a matter of working at the top right in these few lines, it's a
matter of positive evolution. Blossoming as we would say. The evolution
of a character from the first stage in a career to the current level
which might also be the actual level. If you want highly rewarded names
to put next to hers let's keep in mind a page in latest US Vogue by
Mario Testino (the already-famous Gangs of New York editorial)
and some recent work with Inez and Vinoodh. Otherwise let's just enjoy
what she has... [Lire la suite]04-08-10
Please Talk To Me
Anna De Rijk @ Viva (Paris)
Not really in the mood for overloaded backgrounds these days (rather plain white or concrete walls) but the superannuated vibe we got from these shots plus that kind of modern touch in small clothing details were a pleasure to look at. Though, it's not the vibe or the atmosphere that really caught our attention in this new story from Numéro (issue number 115, styled by Samuel François - pictures scanned by elsaskywalker @ thefashionspot.com). Rather Anna's body language which... [Lire la suite]22-01-10
Papier Culte
Anna De Rijk @ Viva (Paris)
2010 finally gave us some (good) reasons to get excited again about magazines. Late 2009 didn't bring the contents we're usually looking for and we started visiting our favorite bookstores a bit less often, asking ourselves if it's due to the end of the year or the end of that precise year. Never took (had) time to think twice and never got our answer, good pages striked back before. Even in Vogue Paris. As much as we appreciate the overall mood of this magazine, castings over there aren't always our cup... [Lire la suite]25-08-09
Deluxe De Rijk
Anna De Rijk @ Viva (Paris), Viva (London), Women (Milan), DNA (NY)
Magazines like Vogue Italia and now 10 couldn’t miss a model like her
and we certainly understand their choice: there is something about Anna
you probably won’t see twice. If she’s poised at an unmatched level,
she also can appear as limitlessly playful and several pictures of
this editorial by Claudia
Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer (styled by David Vandewal) have a
subtle touch of humour. Last but not least, the name of the story,
Fantastical, sounds... [Lire la suite]

Relax baby, Vogue will turn out fine
Anna De Rijk @ Viva (Paris), Viva (London), Women (Milan), DNA (NY)
She's one of the best surprise (not a complete surprise as we already knew since F/W 09-10 she's got some very good eyes standing behind her) of the Resort collections, opening Prada then walking Miu Miu. The most delicate chin of the whole fashion world is getting more popular everyday and Anna is gathering a very impressive list of jobs these days. It doesn't stop with resort runways and even if it did, it would already be quite huge. But truth is... [Lire la suite]22-02-09
TMSRRE part 11: Anna
Anna De Rijk @ Viva (London)
Last december we had a sudden peak of love for Anna brought by some awesome memories of her from backstage at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and an editorial by Jonathan Leder published in A4. Now she's giving a complete image of what her potential looks like walking for the best designers in London. With a list including Topshop Unique, Armand Basi One, Margaret Howell and Ann-Sofie Back, no one can deny British catwalks love her. And we just hope it won't stop her (at least it seems London could... [Lire la suite]10-12-08
Three dots making the world go round
Anna De Rijk @ Paparazzi (Amsterdam), Women (Milan), Viva (Paris), Viva (London), DNA (NY)
We will never forget her from backstage almost one year ago. Was during Couture fashion week in Paris, Ecole des Beaux-Arts. The show was Gardem and it was quite a great opportunity to meet with new girls that have been blossoming step by step since that moment. In Anna's case it spells Elle US earlier this year and right now A4 shot by Jonathan Leder. We're still waiting for it to be release here but the preview is... [Lire la suite]
