Fashion does it Better

Two of the FM Kind

Sadie Newman @ FM (London), Ford (NY) Dark hair and pale skin, winning combo ? Seems so, especially when you push both at their extremes. It's not the first an agency gives a try to that look but it has recently reached a very special level at FM, London. Two girls of this kind are seeing their career opportunities growing sky-high while their future looks more promising than ever. Don't want to jinx anything so, let's simply put it that way: development is wonderfully done with major materials. Editorials... [Lire la suite]

Chaneling Energies, Part Two: Nastasia

Nastasia Ohl @ Viva (Paris) We dropped her name in our previous piece called Chaneling Energies, featuring Tara Jean one week ago. Nastasia, with Viva in Paris, is one of the models who ingtrigued us the most over the last few months. Intriguing looks, gorgeous locks, charm and charisma in her expressions: that's how we noticed her. Also signed with DNA in NY, our curly beauty added a touch of Couture in her career when she walked for Chanel at the beginning of the month. Once again, fresh and... [Lire la suite]

Chaneling Energies

Tara Jean @ Liz Bell (Canada), Major (Paris) Paris Couture fashion week seemed (and actually was) slighlty lighter than usual and went faster than ever but it was honestly one of the most interesting one regarding the new faces who popped up there. Several high level shows had their newcomer(s) and Chanel has a few surprises to show this time. Our two favorites might be Nastasia Ohl and Tara Jean. We're going to focus quickly on the second one. From Liz Bell Agency in Canada (a great source of stunners if you remember girls... [Lire la suite]

Once Upon A Time They Were Human Too

Edita Vilkeviciute @ Viva (Paris), DNA (NY) and Toni Garrn @ Women (Paris), Women (NY) It’s not really all about fashion, it’s rather a style and culture magazine but often features some nice fashion stories. From these precious little editorials with the “dark horses” of the season or the unexpected pieces like this week: Toni Garrn and Edita Vilkeviciute shot by Karl Lagerfeld right after his Chanel Cruise show in Venice. This magazine is simply called L’Express Styles and is just another supplement coming with a french... [Lire la suite]

Thanks Jules!

Jules Mordovets @ IMG (Paris) She's probably not the talk of the town and she might have never been. Never the new face of the moment but she never stops. Steadily. Sometimes it way better to do well without any buzz, without all the spotlights that makes one blind. She's shining bright in her very own way, brighter than many highly watched star. She's the eternal wildcard making her path out of the beaten tracks. Her FW 09-10 runway season proved once again from New York to Paris, including a little bit of Milan (not much... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 3: Charlotte

Charlotte Di Calypso @ One (NY) We won't repeat our mistake of last season in Paris. Not twice. We were so heartbroken after the shows as we didn't have any oppotunity to make a picture or a review of her after such a great week. That's why we immediately put her on our list when we started thinking of our TMSRRE. After a flawless Couture week in Paris opening Dior and walking for Christian Lacroix, Chanel and Valentino, she's taking a famous start in New York. First bookings are called Lacoste, DKNY and Diane Von... [Lire la suite]
