Rejoice

Caterina Ravaglia @ Elite (Milan, Paris) Every show season has its high and low moments and to be sincere with you readers, this one was full of radical changes of mood going from total boredom to the highest hopes. The most important might be to find a balance and let the rare moment of geniune excitement become inspirations for the future. Every little detail we notice that can strengthen our vision is worth to take as good sign and every moment that could lower our faith should be skipped as fast as we can... [Lire la suite]

Woke Up Feeling Bloody Good

Emily Wake @ Elite (Paris), Elite (NY) The title is a kind of pun, easy and the most refined trick we've ever used but behind the playful wording was an authentic feeling. No, we didn't wake up this morning feeling that good, rather tired if you ask and would love to know why. But the good thing about today is the good feeling towards Emily Wake. Hence the quirky title. Let's be honest, she wasn't our favorite from the package (Fall Winter 2010-2011 for that matter) and didn't really know how to consider... [Lire la suite]

Starlight

Mackenzie Drazan @ Stars Model Management (USA) It seems we literally keep american-dreaming and our virtual trip just took us a little further to the West Coast, going from Salt Lake City yesterday to San Francisco today. Great models can come from everywhere in the world and we might have dutch days then russian rushes and so on. So, America is where our eyes (and heart) belong right now -- one looking at all these agencies located everywhere in the country and the other spying carefully what's going on in New York, already... FDIB loves and bookmarks: Marilyn NY twitting Pauline

Pauline van der Cruysse @ Dominique (Belgium), Elite (Paris), Marilyn (NY) It was one of these nights you feel so lucky to be on twitter! If you stay wired almost all the time and double check everything regularly, it's the place to catch some pearls while they are still freshly twitted. Marilyn New York is certainly one of the most active agency when it comes to new media with a very well updated facebook page, live performance on twitter during fashion weeks and an awesome new blog that perfectly reflects the agency's brand... The Elite Squad

Ali Carr: caught our attention with some tests by Jonathan Leder a bit before the season then we simply fell in love with her look after she walked for Marc Jacobs. And that's just the intro. In our recent entries, her name was quoted a few times to illustrate what we call a fabulous first season: no overwhelming buzz but overwhelming facts. Her way from NY shows to Paris runways is just the way it should be for a girl making her first steps, as selective as expensive. Put names like Burberry or Aquilano.Rimondi on the list and add... The Jewel of the Crown

Dalia Guenther @ Model Management (Germany) Most likely our favorite moment in a career and you can judge it by the number of features we did on girls from SPS or Mandarina who are on their way to make it. Not just starting yet not arrived, building carefully what can already considered as the first half of an achievement. The feeling is so precious: the girl isn't signed in every city but gets a high response, gets editorial work everywhere she goes which makes us able to tell precisely what her skills are and... Bitten by a Tiger-Lily

Lia Serge @ Avant (Moscow), Elite (NY), Elite (Paris) Made sense to us to publish a post on Karl Rothenberger's work today, right after our extended feature on Kristiina's coverage. After all, Karl's pictures were among the first ones to teach us the importance of a great aesthetic when it comes to backstage materials. His collection of fashion week shots shows how important it is to treat each as a scene and the whole as an atmosphere. Was for the artistic side, for the model agent-point of view it's... Dance and Dedication

Natasha Belobrovik @ Elite (Paris), Ford (NY) and Alice Fadeeva @ Next (Paris) Two FDIB-favorites in one of our beloved french magazine ? This is what we got two days ago during our weekly bookshop-trip. Previous issue of Dedicate offered us an overview of some new faces in Paris (including our Polish lovelies Kinga Lukomska and Malgosia Baclawska) through the eye of photographer Alexandre Brunet. The new one keeps the same level of excitement with a very special combo: Natasha Belobrovik and Alice Fadeeva. Both girls... [Lire la suite]

Way ahead of the game

Hind Sahli @ DNA (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (Milan), Elite (London) It's been a little while since we introduced Hind a few months ago with a couple of polaroids and her first tests done in Paris before summer. And we've been relentlessly thinking of doing an update on her as her book started to grow, she made a stop by New York signing with DNA and finally started her career with a beautiful first season there. First class shows piled up day after day from BCBG to 3.1 Philip Lim via Philosophy, Lacoste,... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 19: Anastasija

Anastasija Kondratjeva @ Vacatio (Latvia), New York Models (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (London), Why Not (Milan) We were talking about the girls that always do well in Paris in our previous TMSRRE dedicated to Egle Tvirbutaite and we might tell you a similar story again when it comes to Anastasija Kondratjeva. A girl who did well since her first walk in New York till the last days in Paris but who seems to get most of the attention in the latter and we wouldn't mind calling her another darling of the City of...
