TMSRRE part 30: Barbora

Barbora Dvorakova @ Ford (NY) We had to finish with a 30th part and nobody could close our reviews as good as Barbora. We've been watching her since the very beginnings, were already really happy when she took a beautiful start back in Couture s/s 08 at Felipe Oliveira Baptista (always ahead of the game) and Givenchy. Slow yet steady, then turning out to be breathtaking and surprising again in f/w 09-10, czech beauty from Elite Prague is making her own marks where one should leave some. It... [Lire la suite]

Saturday is Lakshmi day

Lakshmi Menon @ Ford (NY), Nathalie (Paris), d'management (Milan), Storm (London) Went to our usual bookshop and found many marvels. But not Dazed & Confused. Went to the train station by chance and saw it by chance. Here she goes again by Josh Olins (styled by Nichola Formichetti), Lakshmi who's on the cover has her editorial.  Colorful backgrounds plus Lakshmi Menon’s beauty is a must see and too many pictures could have killed the thrill. It’s just so precious the way it is and both photographer Josh Olins and stylist... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 21: Polina

Polina Barbasova @ Union (London), Ford (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (Milan) If you really want it, take it slow. That's what we could say about Polina's career. Especially what she did this season. The way she did it. Slow in NY, almost silent but booking some underrated and overlooked shows with excellent castings. Slow in Milan but booking our biggest favorite there: Antonio Marras. Slow in Paris until... she exclusively appeared at Givenchy. Kind of crowning for our beloved Polina (from Team Models in Oslo). She had... [Lire la suite]

Two Lanvin Girls, One Masterpiece

Kinee Diouf @ New York Models (NY), Major (Paris), d'management (Milan)Kendra Spears @ Ford (NY), Elite (Paris), Elite (Milan) Amazing combo: unusual editorial darlings and Lanvin-girls at their best. Kinee Diouf and Kendra Spears, quite successful, not exactly underrated yet never overhyped. Two girls that are building some rock-solid books with a magical blend of selective runways and high profile editorials.Kinee will always be related to Lanvin catwalks in our minds and memories. She's like the perfect match for the... [Lire la suite]

We met her in a crowded room

Anouk Hagemeijer @ Nathalie (Paris), Ford (NY), Place (Hamburg), Skin (Amsterdam) Anouk was already on our list of favorites for a future TMSRRE story yet it was only a feeling based on a few pictures and facts from NY shows. After meeting her in backstage at Girbaud, it turned out our first feelings were reliable. Or even beyond reliable. It doesn’t happen every single time we have a crush on a couple of cute polas but when it does, it might be one of the most delightful thing to realise. Realising Anouk potential was... Sunday girl

Nika Lauraitis @ Elite (Paris) Went out for a walk yesterday, at the end of the afternoon. Went to the train station and thought maybe there's something new or at least something we could have overlooked at the little bookstore. Was quite surprising to see a new issue of Biba already out. It's written on it: september. Looked sweet, sounded nice. Had a look inside, just for a few seconds and saw Nika. Enough to buy it eyes-closed. After all we could try to buy every issue like that as their choices of models weren't... [Lire la suite]

Higher and higher

Natasha Belobrovik @ Ford (NY), Elite (Paris) Climbing on a mountain and reaching the clouds. Natasha's on a lucky cloud right now, higher and higher and higher than ever. The top, the summit this month is in Flair, yes the awesome issue featuring Shelby Keeton on the cover. A must see and a must have, from page one to infinity. Pictured by KT Auleta, who shot the best of Hilary Rhoda ever (for Dazed & Confused), this editorial is just so... KT for those who are familiar with her incredible trademark. Need more of her work,... [Lire la suite]
