French And Fab

Mathilde Frachon @ Next We thought about featuring these girls when we saw the two-pages spread in Vogue Paris and while waiting for some materials from Elite, let's feature the one at Next. Mathilde Frachon, from the perfect outsider only half a year ago to everyone's darling after the shows this season. She's in a class by herself mostly because she's got this extra touch of charm that is sometimes (often) hard to find. Nice faces ? You'll see hundreds. Perfect bodies ? You'll see a lot too. Both plus... [Lire la suite]

Wanted: Tina

Tina Veshaguri @ Next We were just telling you how much we love these little words from people who worked with our favorite models. Photographers, agents, stylists... You can imagine an agent will always have a nice word to say about his own new faces, sometimes you just can't be mistaken in any way. When the three polas came to us, the only comment from Next was perfect body and 5'11 (180) and an army of exclamation marks. A minimalist introduction was all she needed to catch our attention to the max.... [Lire la suite]

Iris, blossoming

Iris Van Berne @ CODE Model Management (The Netherlands) So neat, so Next ? Perhaps. We love how Iris is currently rebuilding the concept of classic-beauty-with-a-twist using her close-to-classic features in the most unusual way. Might be the real future of fashion. Using some well-known ingredients within a different, innovative formula. That's what Iris does when she has to stike a pose. Intensity, emotions, class. Not easy to find on the same picture, not often what you expect from the same girl. And she does it, so naturally. We... [Lire la suite]

Twit the Twins

Patrycja Marciniak @ Mango (Poland), Next (NY) After the selective boutique from Warsaw, it's time to focus on a Polish powerhouse. Same country, other atmosphere. We recently featured EML winner from Mango, Dominika Lukiewicz and are going to have a closer look at two more stunners from the same agencies. The Marciniak sisters, the strawberry-blond sensations. Both are currently adding a little bit of speed to their career through a trip in NYC, signing with Next Models over there. Redhead love crossing the ocean and gets... [Lire la suite]

We love love (and we love Iris' look)

Iris Van Berne @ CODE (The Netherlands) She's fresh. That's the first thing we thought. Well, this is not scoop and it's not the most original way to describe her as most of the girls featured here are actually fresh. So, she's fresher if not the freshest. She's the latest stunner out of CODE Management, house of Nimue Smit. Sounds better like that ? Probably. But that's not the end and even the end may have no end with Iris. Signed with Next worldwide and already making her first steps with them... [Lire la suite]

Casting at Next: Another way to swim

Kayla Travers, Thea Stratton and Molly Gunn @ Next (Milan) No sand, no sea, no suntan. Another way to swim. Without suntanned skin and wet swimsuits, without these perennial summer nights atmosphere and summertime clichés. Another summer. In black and white, in a studio with a white background. Only the glossy hairdos and chequered shirts add a fancy note to the whole story. The rest is moody like our own summers. First days of full sun, first days of full heat; first days you can't even sleep correctly because the bedroom is... [Lire la suite]

Movie scenes

Mathilde Frachon @ Next (Paris) The editorial is inspired by Pedro Almodovar, his movies and their atmospheres. The colors, the stares, the poses. It might be a perfect opportunity to release it during the Festival de Cannes and it was actually published in an issue of L'Express Styles dedicated to Cannes. Shot by Nicholas Moore. Mathilde the french lady in a french magazine when everybody wants to know what's going on in France. French touch everywhere. We're away from Cannes and that's not that bad. Away from the frenchy frenzy... [Lire la suite]

Far right when you enter the yard

Myf Shepherd @ Next Paradoxes make fashion and fashion creates paradoxes just to break them better. Grandiloquence might be the biggest or at least a very common one. Talking about art is nothing pretentious, talking about romanticism has nothing dull, nothing is never overdone. Truth is always far away but better try to get closer. Working on two different  topics at the same moment definitely helps as much as dizziness from yesterday's birthday party helped to have clearer ideas. That's another paradox, another couple of... TMSRRE part 22: Kelsey

Kelsey Van Mook @ Next Some small shows can give you hopes and hints on what can be the next level. This is exactly what happened with Kelsey this season after she did a few ones in NY among those some we watch carefully. Then silence. Until a Sunday evening in Paris. Expectations of greatness turned into exciting reality. Kelsey was exclusive at Givenchy. And opened. First look is first impression and she made a strong one. If this breakthrough came as fast as a lightning, the reasons are more obvious... [Lire la suite]

Hyper-realist fairy tale: Myf # 101

Myf Shepherd @ Next It's not the first time you see Myf on this page. You might have seen her even recently as she has an editorial in current Mixte. She's also in the newest issue of Numéro. 101. Shot by Matthias Vriens. The gloomy countryside looks like a fantastic playground for Myf, playing seriously. Strange atmosphere and light, timeless pictures like in a hyper-realist fairy tale. Plenty of details yet impossible to tell why they are here, striking some strange poses, the vibe of the last days of the summer oddly... [Lire la suite]
