Fashion does it Better

That Bregje Girl

Bregje Heinen @ Micha (The Netherlands), Women (Paris, Milan), Women Direct (NY) Memories from last seasons: one image in mind -- Bregje leaving the tent in the Jardin des Tuileries -- and one sentence -- "it's incredible, this girl works everyday", pronounced by a booker from another agency than hers. Good memories, then, good season for her as well. And Bregje seems to be unable to hang out after such a good international starts. Both runways and glossy pages can't get enough of her and this months she's... [Lire la suite]

My Secret Lover

Rasa Zukauskaite & Karmen Pedaru @ Next She's undercover. Well, in this story Rasa's hiding a bit in Karmen's shadows but in real life (runway life to be honest), she's far from hiding at all. Only girl having two spreads here today, Numéro and Another Magazine and working out both so brilliantly, you wouldn't even guess the girl is just making her first steps in high fashion. Prada video, Love video, several coveted catwalks... the list gets longer and the love gets strong. Everyday. She may appear as quite shy or even... [Lire la suite]

Anna Selezneva @ Silent (Paris) Silent Models as the most silent agency ? Already used that pun a few times and thought it was big time to dive deeper into this idea. Let's go for... silencious, then. Last but not least among our special editorial features is another preview from Numéro 111 with Silent's icon Anna Selezneva (portraits, by Camilla Akrans) who made her marks almost everywhere one needs to make some -- from Vogue Italia to Vogue Paris, from runway to print and so on. Anna's career is handled... [Lire la suite]

Russell's march

Katlin Aas @ EMA (Estonia), Marilyn (New York, Paris), Women (Milan) Take it as a bonus track from our preview on Lexposure, taken from Numéro 106. Katlin Aas by Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello, in a garden. Katlin's career so far looks like a bed of roses or a pleasure cruise and all she got was golden opportunities. Sounds idyllic ? Looks idyllic too. From her early days at her mother agency EMA Models in Estonia, with her lighter hair to Christopher Kane, Prada and Miu Miu, it seems she took a direct line to the... We Wait Six Years, We Wait Six Pages

Edita Vilkeviciute @ Viva (Paris, London), DNA (NY), Why Not (Milan) It’s thrilling to see her in Numéro  again and we won’t complain, honestly. She looks gorgeous, completely gorgeous and even beyond gorgeous. Let’s even say: as always. Edita Vilkeviciute is probably one of the most talented models of her generation and this is also why this editorial has something almost frustrating. The story is only six pages long, it’s never enough for a spread featuring Edita. We could also say it doesn’t go far enough, doesn’t... [Lire la suite]

Jamie Bochert @ Women (NY), Elite (Paris) Usually, we have to tidy up the pictures to make the post look great. This time it wasn't even necessary, here they are how they are, right from the scanner. Blind uploading. There is something genius about this story as we already wrote in another review for Lexposure. Same might fit for the whole issue of Numéro. Quite a brilliant surprise, delicately packed. The cover plus the contents managed to make us happy without any new faces inside or outside. Among the... [Lire la suite]

The smell of perfection

Released today. The magazine smells like Chanel perfume on page two and our soap smells the blue because it can't sing. Siri is flying high and singing live in newest Numéro, by Luciana Val and Franco Musso. This time we thought we can say it, even scream it. The louder, the better: there is  a smell of perfection all over Siri's career. Twice in a row on Numéro's glossy pages for the second time of her career. But that would be too prosaic for our taste and we see perfection more in the way she works it out rather the... [Lire la suite]

Hyper-realist fairy tale: Myf # 101

Myf Shepherd @ Next It's not the first time you see Myf on this page. You might have seen her even recently as she has an editorial in current Mixte. She's also in the newest issue of Numéro. 101. Shot by Matthias Vriens. The gloomy countryside looks like a fantastic playground for Myf, playing seriously. Strange atmosphere and light, timeless pictures like in a hyper-realist fairy tale. Plenty of details yet impossible to tell why they are here, striking some strange poses, the vibe of the last days of the summer oddly... [Lire la suite]

The epitome of a busy girl

Constance Jablonski @ Marilyn (NY), Elite (Paris) Constance is busy. Very busy. Her editorial book is getting thicker and thicker. Almost every new piece of her work sets a new standard in her career. She appeared in Vogue Italia, by Steven Meisel and Richard Burbridge, in W by Mert and Marcus. She worked out Dazed & Confused by Terry Richardson as easily as her two stories in current Teen Vogue. This morning we found her in Numéro. Magic number, iconic issue. Shot by Sebastian Kim who adds a little more spice to her book.... [Lire la suite]

Numéro girl Number eight

Kori Richardson @ IMG (NY), IMG (Paris), IMG (London) She's this girl moving step by step with each step being a royal one. Think of Another Magazine, Dazed & Confused and now Numéro as the editorial side of the story and the likes of Miu Miu, Lanvin or Chanel on her runway list. She's also the girl who's hard to describe. Hard to put words on her kind of beauty, hard to explain what makes her appeal very special, hard to say it's in her features themselves or the result of her attitude in front of the camera. Maybe a bit of... [Lire la suite]
