Fashion does it Better

FDIB loves and bookmarks: Brittany in Teen Vogue

Brittany McPhee @ Elite (NY) It's been a little while since Elite NY introduced us Brittany McPhee, as the latest wunderkind from Pulse Mgmt. End of last Summer, exactly. Tiny, tiny and full of energy, Brittany arrived in the business as a potential editorial-girl in the making with her laid-back attitude and natural poise on her first polaroids from New York. And guess what, she just landed a spread in Teen Vogue's most recent issue confirming what seemed almost obvious on day one. In a mix of futuristic inspirations,... [Lire la suite]

Teenage dreams are so hard to beat

Kate Kosushkina @ Supreme (NY) Title says Toy Soldier... thought it could be a remix of Toy Story and Dog Soldiers. Might be a little odd for Teen Vogue who may have borrowed it to some lyrics. Or whatever. Wherever. Cool idea and cool overall theme. Also cool to see some editorial stuff of Kate Kosushkina, still too rare on glossy paper yet (cute in V, though). This one by Nick Haymes could be a little masterpiece and a sort of avant-premiere, giving us a taste of how Kate works out some very specific atmospheres, creating... [Lire la suite]

Tough Cookie

Julia Hafstrom @ IMG (NY) Saturday, editorial day. Back to redhead love. Julia Hafstrom, unusual beauty type with a slightly classic edge. Not the tallest girl around and not the endlessly leggy kind. As unconvetional as the description sounds, it has never prevent Julia from booking first-class jobs and building a highly remarkable portfolio. Her modeling story started with Prada and she kept the level at the same height with some Vogue Italia story by Steven Meisel. Easy beginnings, magical pictures. Latest piece to hit her... Alexina, Also Known As...

Alexina Graham @ Ford (NY) We were just talking about Teen Vogue and its place in the process, its unique role for great girls in making. If nothing is never granted, taking as many guarantees as possible makes a career a bit safer. And spicier. Fashion is all about oxymorons, modeling is an oxymoron per se and we're getting oxymoronic this evening. Back to the topic and back on tracks, we'll focus on Alexina Graham now. Sharing the spotlights with another favorite of ours, Jeneil Williams from New York Models and DNA's rising... [Lire la suite]

Extended Elitism Expands

Louise Maselis @ Elite (Paris) An elitist management company relying on both an extended network in Europe and the high workability of several alliances with agencies overseas ? It sounds a bit too much to hear and a slightly idyllic portrait of Elite Paris. But truth is they are impressive on very different aspects that propel them to a very special status. As a part of the Elite network they have access to the powerful scouting, the annual model contest and strong partners in Milan and London. As an efficient agency keeping... [Lire la suite]

The Green-eyed Stunner

Chrishell Stubbs @ Union (London) Another one from another agency in London, Chrishell is among our absolute favorites at Union Models. See the polas and you'll know why, there is an easy-going intensity (sounds impossible but looks so right) about her. Might the deep green eyes, might be the mesmerizing expressions even when she looks lost in her thoughts, might be the naturally laid-back poses. Might everything as a whole. Chrishell is based predominantly in LA but everytime she is London she's in high demand... [Lire la suite]

TMSRRE part 7: Selina

Selina Khan @ One (NY) She was our TMSRRE number nine girl last season and there was no reason not to add her again, as portrayed by photographer Anderson. Number seven this time. Last time we decided to write it after she walked all in white for Yeohlee and all in black for Rad Hourani. As well as Ralph Lauren. The last two haven't took place so far so it's still early to say anything but what she walked so far is already remarkable. Between the two season she appeared in Teen Vogue twice by Bruce Weber and Jason Kibbler and... [Lire la suite]
