They All Need A Star

Kristina Salinovic @ Women (NY), Daphne Groeneveld @ Supreme (NY) and Lindsey Wixson @ Marilyn (NY) Months and years come (and go somehow). And we grew up too old to make ourselves fools for mistaken love (or devotion). Inspiration is like months and years and comes and goes and comes back in the end for whoever is patient enough to wait and work. To people who considers this story and especially cover as a letdown from Steven Meisel and Vogue Italia we can only answer the perfromance is far from bad and that it's impossible to... Wow Factor

She just did her first season last year and already managed to extend her appeal from Vogue Paris to US Vogue via Vogue Italia , Vogue UK and Dazed & Confused. And yet another issue of Vogue Italia. A phenomenal editorial work in the shortest amount of time. May sound too phenomal to be true, or rather questionable yet the answer might as well be obvious if you consider the undeniable aura of maturity and grace she projects at a time when  the reign of disposable new girls is being pointed out as something that strongly... Tatatata Bengbengbeng (All The Rage)

Valerija Kelava and Hanne Gaby Odiele @ Ford (NY), Hannah Holman @ Elite (NY) Working till two in the morning, waking up with loud disco straight in the ears and working again. Did we even sleep or did we dream we slept? That is the question and a very good one. Vogue Italia is not a dream, though it's a shame it hasn't reached our favorite bookshop yet -- will probably have to kick some asses soon if we want to get it in time.. next time. Because this issue is all the rage here and now, and makes us ... [Lire la suite]

Frozen Tears

Valeria Kelava @ Ford (NY), Oui (Paris) Ending the season with a flawless week in Paris from Balenciaga to Miu Miu, from Givenchy to Louis Vuitton, from Rick Owens to Viktor & Rolf, from Giambattista Valli to Kenzo and sorry for the ones we've had to skipped, they would be worth a mention too. Flawless show-list and a good editorial kick to keep it all sky-high. Two stories in Vogue Italia's October issue would be enough to write a note even with no shows to back it up but the combination of both can be considered as an... [Lire la suite]

Feel the Power

Kylie Bax @ Women (NY) "She is timeless & fearless. Kylie will do anything for a great picture." Timeless and fearless aren't exactly the two words we'd put together very easily, as often fearless relates to fast and what comes fast has big chances to go fast, but the description suits Kylie Bax as perfectly as her outfits in Steven Klein's most recent story in Vogue Italia (May 2010). We've never been afraid of apparent contradictions and even love some paradoxes for what they represent, we're not going... [Lire la suite]

Headliner

Melissa Tammerijn @ New York Models (NY), Nathalie (Paris), Union (London), d'management (Milan) This story makes the headlines wherever you'll find her on the Internet! New York Models is heavily blogging as always and naturally included Melissa's Vogue Italia story to their news, Nathalie's blog is on fire these days (also check out Lisanne's latest campaign featured there) and it's the latest post on Union's page after two sweet stories on Alla and Daphne Groeneveld. Makes so much noise at places we love that we couldn't not... [Lire la suite]

GMT+1

Ginta Lapina @ Women Sorry for the lack of updates, we were busy these last few days redesigning the future for us and for some others. Cool goal yet busy times. But don't imagine us cluttered in our office, windows closed like in a bunker, as we had an exhibition opening in between -- vernissage with homemade punch does it better. As things are starting to shape up right now and surprises are on their way, we thought it was time for a break and go back to basics. Like Ginta for Vogue Italia, not a classic yet but almost. ... Catch Her if You Can

Freja Beha Erichsen @ IMG, covers respectively from FTape.com and Vogue.it We too, go green on Freja these days. Vogue Italia is already safe on the shelf and i-D is certainly on its way to us as well or at least in pole position on our shopping-list this month. And actually as we're talking about green, greenish colors seems to be perfectly matching Freja's beauty and we couldn't resist comparing it to a second Spring in her career, blossoming again... in every field. Flawless show seasons, relentless editorial... [Lire la suite]

Vogue Dot Eye Tea

Edie Campbell @ Joy (Milan) certainly makes you love London but we're talking about Vogue Italia. Just got a notice from Joy Milan this afternoon that said Edie Campbell was featured on Vogue Italia's website (simply type www.vogue.it and there you go!). A pretty portrait we took time to read on a busy day and even spend some extra twenty minutes to discover the whole site. In depth. Already went there and already liked, now we can say we love it. To describe briefly the entry on Edie, you'll learn there how she got caught in... [Lire la suite]

Three, two, ONE, fire.

Debora Muller @ One (NY) and Amanda Laine (DNA) A few days to countdown but what countdown exactly ? Fashion week in New York or Vogue Italia in our favorite bookstore ? Both. But we still don't know which one we're waiting for (eagerly). Show packages we've seen so far have what it takes to get us enthusiastic about the newbies in town and first editorial preview of Vogue is pretty thrilling too (Jamie on the cover plus the story above, by Greg Lotus). Debora Muller is taking part of both, strengthening her editorial roster... [Lire la suite]
