Fashion does it Better

Shine a Night in the Light

We just let the curtain fall at noon to spend the rest of the day in a certain kind of addictive darkness, eating industrial pizzas and homemade scones (both taste way better when the sun is away) and brainstorming – well, it did not take that long before our topic of thursday arrived on the desk. No big surprise, it's going to be Katie Moore (again, again, again), as we're just not about to get enough of fashion's freshest firefly. And, after promising you'd hear more of her when showtime was over, we're now able to... [Lire la suite]

Dairy Tales

I'm fooling myself on a late evening, dreaming awake of countryside from the heights of my suburban ninth floor, because the grass seems greener surrounding a tiny village than in the small park down the road. I guess the same happens everytime I take a trip away, where cows sing at night during summer months and birds and fearless foxes say hello to break the silence of the dawn. Then come dreams of city lights, pavements, neverending rumbling. What you see and hear is what you get and you wish you got the opposite instead. ... [Lire la suite]

After The Curtain Falls

Take one of these models, Edita Vilkeviciute, who usually shines for her multiple expressions, predominantly geniune in most of her work and place her in a story where she had to bear only one face that tastes like nothing else than aristocratic neutrality. Of course, she works it out, pretty brilliantly by the way when she literally embodies this character looking obviously disconnected from everything surrounding her. Take it as a performance or as the utlimate luxury for an editorial today: booking a model who... [Lire la suite]

Are You Mad Enough

Patricia Van der Vliet @ New York Models (NY) There are days we miss our eighties, our childhood or what we think it looked like back then. When it wasn't that odd to be dressed like a bubble gum and when discount stores all had creepy names. The need to escape, you know. The emergency that would normally push you to run but sticks your feet on the ground. Can't move, not even wink. Working in a dark room because the sun shines too bright and summer is already getting on our nerves. Don't know if we want september to knock at our... [Lire la suite]
