Agency of the Week #10
2pm Mode Management, in Denmark is our 10th agency of the week. The main reason might be obvious: the enormous success of their model Agnete Hegelund. She was one of the most promising faces of s/s 08 then two covers of Vogue Italia by Steven Meisel and an incredible f/w 08 season later and this fresh, a tad mysterious, poised girl has already reached an extremely high level. She did s/s 08 campaigns for Alberta Ferretti and Pringle, just appears now in latest issue of W by Paolo Roversi (if she fits in Meisel's world without the smallest doubt, she has probably that specific thing to work well with Roversi) and we're just waiting for the next round. Something like f/w 08 ad campaigns and even more editorial jobs. She's got both this reminiscence from icons of the past (and we don't mean from the last 20 years, she definitely has this classic yet sassy vibe from the early decades of the XXth century) and something undeniably modern, mixing a quiet look with an unforgettable expression. The title of Meisel's editorial in Vogue Italia's march'08 issue couldn't be more exact: Reflections of Glamour. Could be inspiring for our next articles.
Back to the real topic, the agency. 2pm is not only Agnete's mother agency, they also represent a big numbers of talented, internationally renowned models. And, that's of course the most interesting for us, have a couple of very promising faces. They're all different but they all have this same quality we've found in Agnete: an incredibly delicate balance.
First, Mette. She's got that very intense, slightly melancholic look that always have an impact on our choices, an influence on our tastes. Probably the same way as dutch cutie Valerie Van der Graaf. Delicate features, some obvious and overall sweetness that get on well with her darker side: thick brows and a rather serious gaze. Vendela won us over with her unmatched cuteness, freshness and innocence. Qualities than can be too rare, sometimes, in a world where sweet is too often considered as dull. Seriously, we can't see anything dull in Vendela, just some other feelings to explore, in editorials especially. Veneda was one of the most surprising. Almost looking like a "surfer-girl", a West Coast baby in her polaroids, she also know how to work out her impressive cheekbones and jawline in her editorials and tests. We can't say enough how we love this little border between both world (party girl and icy beauty). Ida was the last we decided to add to this list. She wasn't the most eye-catching at first sight but finally turned out to be a personal favorite. There something really intense mixed to this round, childlike face. As we often say, last but not least...
