Press review !

Let's bring back the magazine magic. Could be the title of this review. Something magical among the latest issues of many magazines. We've been less thrilled by many of them recently and it's so good to see them back on tracks in a nice way. Mixte, Muteen, various Vogue editions or some new, intriguing publications. Mixte is probably the most exciting one this month. The cover is delightful, Rachel Clark fits perfectly the atmosphere. Like the role was written for her. The contents are simply following this promising overview in bright orange. Sofi Berelidze and Sigita Nedzvecka are also perfect, Sofi seems to increase her editorial power with each story. Same for Rachel. The next parts are even more exciting. That's what we like. That's what we love when we buy some mags. Being attracted by the cover, captured by the first pictures inside then totally delighted by the whole issue. Lovisa Ingman rules her ed. Then Paul Pavlovska's story just hit the top. Especially when we discovered she's sharing it with another very personal favorite: Viktoriya Sasonkina herself ! Brilliant. Just wished it was a bit longer. The ed looked short when we are so hungry.
Vogue Paris latest issue doesn't impress us much but has its own little treasures. As always the small part called "En Vogue" features one of our biggest favorite. This time: Zuzana Gregorova. And Hedi Slimane did a good job with Sasha, always impressive. Editorial after editorial. This girl has enough hidden potential to surprise us even with the huge amount of work she's been getting lately (not only lately, by the way). Just say the other contents aren't our cup of tea. Need some fresh faces, some new vibes. And idea, perhaps. L'Officiel looks quite exciting as well, Cato van Ee is a perfect cover-girl, who doesn't disappoint in her own ed. Waiting for Jalouse now. Last issue was a bit light for our taste, lacking of new faces (and models in general). Especially for magazine that introduced many new (and rising) careers. Last one from Jalou Editions, Muteen, the "little sister" doesn't disappoint either. Just imagine this issue counts Elvira Khisaeva in its casting. Not bad at all.
Within the more expensive category, Dealer de Luxe and Soon are doing a good job this time. Jessica Stennebo, Erica McDonald, Simona McIntyre and a young girl called Siri (at Mikas) are gracing the pages in the first one. Yvonne Eriksen and Edda Petursdottir are shining bright in Soon. Our latest trip in Germany also brought a couple of nice mags. Like Material Girl, a glossy and glittering magazine featuring the much promising Laura Käding, among others. And we can't wait to get our issues of QVEST and Indie (Dovile Virsilaite and Aleksandra Martiniuk). The next round already sounds exciting as well !
