Days are getting shorter and that means time is maybe going faster too. Actually, time is going a little faster in august as NY fashion week begins early september and agencies are doing their best right now to have their new faces ready. With wonderful tests and wonderful polaroids - or digitals. We've already written a lot on the new possibilities and perspectives of digital photography within the whole development process. This is another example and maybe the epitome of the use of digital photography as "regular polaroids" for new faces. Julia, one of Elite's most striking newcomer. With one of the most striking digitals set. Actually it reminds us of some childhood memories. A bird. Sleeping at night in the barn. Was one of these lovely bird with that specific red tail yet he was like no others which were all of very dark grey. This one was of a pretty delightfully light grey (no idea why). And it just left its mark forever. Just like Julia's digitals. Lipstick is quite unusual on digis yet almost every woman wore lipstick one day or another. It's very uncommon on one hand, very common on the other. In the end, if you want to start with the common side, yes she's got red lipstick like everyone else but doesn't seem to wear like the others. Doing it her own way. In french we'd call her "oiseau rare" which just means "rare bird". Extremely appropriated...
