Anything is Possible
Nastya Tretyakova @ Fusion (NY)
Interviews with Fusion girls
quickly became one of our beloved habit when an amazing new face joined
their development board. After Karolina Nevia last year Krista Gamble in July, we felt we had to welcome their latest addition, a Russian young lady called Nastya Tretyakova (5'11 and very Fusion-looking) who's waiting eagerly for her first trip in New York.
Managed by Black Model Management in her hometown and found online by Fusion's eye, she told us she owes a lot to photographer Nicole Demeshik
who enhanced her book (all the pictures here were shot by her) and gave her the best advice to start her career.
So, we just thought it was natural to have a deeper glimpse at Nicole's
portfolio via the test shots she did with Nastya. Two topics in one
definitely do it better for us.
- How old are you ?
- I'm 17-years-old.
- Where do you come from ?
- I come from Moscow, Russia.
- How have you been discovered ? Have you been thinking about modeling for long ?
- Josh (from Fusion) found me on Models.com and then I connected him with my mother agency in Moscow - Black Model Management. I was waiting for this moment for a long time, I've dreamed to be a model since my childhood. Also every month I buy a lot of fashion magazines and I expect that, one day, I will be in it.
- How does it feel now to work as a model ? Which jobs have you experienced, what did or didn't you expect ?
- From the moment I started my modelling career, I understood, that I can't live without it anymore! So, now I'm waiting for the moment I go to New York and start to work here. It's very interesting to meet with photographers and designers, make new friends and see the city. In Moscow I walked for some russian designers like Vardoui Nazarian and Vika Gazinskaya, and also for Custo Barcelona who arrived there. I really love the catwalk, to wear new collections, pose for photographers and the atmosphere that reigns at fashion weeks!
- Were you already familiar with fashion before and do you have favorite designers, photographers or any specific projects for your career as a model ?
- I know about fashion from seasonal trends and fashion websites. The major fashion editors, fashion critics and casting directors. I have many favourites designers, but the best of the best are John Galliano, Prada, Marc Jacobs and D&G. There is
also a lot of the greatest photographers with whom I'd like to work, but the best photographer for me now is Nicole Demeshik, who didn't only takes good photos, but also gives me the necessary advices.
- Last one, just tell us a random thing about you, whatever if it's your favorite meal or the last philosophy book you read, just something that would make a good title for the article!
- Now I read a book called The Private Lives of Pippa Lee by Rebecca Miller and the main philosophy of this book is that in life everything is possible at any age!
