The Svea Spring Show
Svea Kloosterhof @ CODE (The Netherlands)
Spring seems back today (maybe not for good but let's hope) and when we feel Spring, we seriously need freshness. Craving for light-hearted moods and good vibrations, uptempo melodies and gorgeous pictures. Showtime surely makes the atmosphere slightly heavy and we're struggling a little to keep our heads out of the fashion waters, keep the rythm not to get stressed out before the end, mid-March. Best thing to help and cheer up is a short topic on a promising young model, with high-class new materials. Short topic which has good chances to grow long. Svea Kloosterhof was probably the girl for the job, with her brand new story in Dutch Glamour shot by the talented Marc De Groot (still haven't forgotten many of his older works we loved back then).
Okay, those polaroids might not be the most recent pieces in her portfolio but they're clearly the most direct way to highlight Svea's strenghts. Think fresh face and long legs. Cuteness in contrasts. CODE Amsterdam's very focused development and management already brought her a campaign for Spijker & Spijker (for the second time, to be exact) -- the right dose of exposure, never going to far but enough not to overlook her while having a look at their blog. Svea also worked with Jonathan Waiter (actually the piece that made us fall for her look!) and shared some pages with CODE's icon Nimue Smit. Last but not least, a short notice on this agency which has based its online communication through a blog rather than their main site. It's interactive, refreshing and a simple list of names give you direct links to their models page. With portfolios in order -- not always obvious with traditional online books on agency's webistes.
