Escaping Princesses

   

Vera Wang's f/w 07-08 show is one of those I first had strong yet mixed feelings about it. At the very beginnig of the show, when I discovered those girls in their messy outfits, with that little reminicense of Marc Jacobs f/w 06-07, it was just "hmm... won't like this" then I've realised...
... that they are like princesses escaped from a feast or a ball, with some wealthy garments or bold items including embroidered tulle, metallic brocade and glossy duchesse satin, mixed with woolen scarves they seem to have put very quickly on their head to prevent from cold while running away from their castle.

 

At the end I was totally overwhelmed by the story I had just imagined: lost princessses escaping from very mysterious place, walking through a wild landscape, searching for something they might be the only ones to know...
