Press review !
Was still early this morning when I saw this brand new US Vogue (brand new for me, we get it really late here...) in bookstores. I must say it's a nice mag, better in print than on a computer screen but it was surprisingly thin. I was waiting for an enormous, thick issue and this one is rather thin. Would have been pleased to see more pics by Meisel in his ed or maybe another editorial... Still wanna buy it, though.
Besides of Vogue I was mainly disappointed. Not by French Glamour that I've already seen yesterday (Shannan Click !) but by other French mags like Biba, Cosmo, etc. And I was unable to check the latest French Elle and anyway the cover doesn't make me want to see more: Sophie Marceau and 87 pages dedicated to cooking.
Didn't find Paradis magazine is this bookshop, will try in my favorite one later today. Good surprise was a mag (I'm really sorry) I don't remember the name. I was so stunned to see Maria Dvirnik (also in current Tush) and Anna Kuznetsova (also in current French L'Officiel) among other models in mag that really smells good (not kidding, I like mags that smells good...). Also an editorial with Natalia Belova in Dreams (mostly about watches and jewels).
Most exciting news are coming from on of the ugliest covered mag (Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton...). Yes, I'm talking about june'07 Harper's Bazaar (US edition). Besides the cover and an ed by Karl Lagerfeld... with Gisele Bündchen (obviously not my cup of tea) you'll find a topic on Valentino featuring Laura Blokhina, Kelly Craig, Anna Kuchkina, Cecilia Mendez, Viviane Orth and Carolina Pantoliano among others. It's shot by Jean-Paul Goude, and even if I'm not so fond of Goude, this sounds more than good. And to be sure I'm going to buy it, HB's editors has the nice idea to add another ed. By Greg Kadel and with Coco Rocha, no need to say more.
