Back in march 2008. To understand why it's so special for us to write about Anna, we might have to tell these backstage moments of last season in Paris. First time we saw Anna was after Bernhard Willhelm show, was already late on the schedule that day and the show was a real show. A performance. So, Anna is quite a performer. We hadn't heard of her before and suddenly saw these deep blue eyes staring at us while talking with another model. She gave us a card and told us Anna S with S standing for Simakina. Already impossible to forget. A few days later we met her again, another backstage, another atmosphere. The same striking blue eyes and naturally, effortlessly elegant style - ask Ford, they will tell you the same. At that moment we knew that if we had to pick our 10 or 12 favorite new models of the season, we would have included her to that list.
Time went by and we didn't forget our outstanding outsider (18, from Kopeysk in Russia, mother agency Rush Models in Moscow). Just had to wait for fresh news from her and this precisely happened when she signed with Ford NY, adding some new polas and tests by Ruvan Wijesooriya to her book. Then even getting a showcard for this fashion week starting in less than two weeks (even shorter for castings). Stylish and sparkly, with the most striking blue eyes of the fashion world.
