Never thought the 80's could be so subtle and refined

Kinga @ First (London)
We don't really know why but there is something in her face which reminds us of the eighties. Our childhood, actually. Maybe our first aesthetic visions, our first experiences of beauty. Maybe just some random good memories gathered into a glimpse or a glance without the glitter and glam people usually link to this era. No exaggeratedly aggressive outfit or hairdo, just a light touch of make-up highlighting a slightly melancholic gaze. Probably what reminds us of the eighties. Still don't know why but in our own imagery (as well as in some more objective memories) the woman of the eighties has something typically melancholic in her eyes. Well, we're in 2009 and London fashion week is going on. Kinga seems to tell us "I'm not a souvenir" and, true, she's the future. If not a catwalk specialist - she's "only" 5'9 - a real editorial girl in making. Not very talkative but her eyes show so many feelings words couldn't express.
