Funny how this story from Grazia (Italian edition) talks about romanticism. We were thinking about the whole drama of who does Prada this evening and the whole shivering it brings to the fashion world. What if some of the usual Prada-girl doesn't show up, what if this coveted new girl get dropped at the very last minute, who opens, who closes, who will be there again next season. Questions of any kind, expectations of any level then explanations, fantasies, deceptions and tears of joy.

Though, there is a life before, during, besides and after Prada and hundreds of girls going to castings, fittings and finally shows in Milan. With the same dose of romanticisim sometimes, even when the show itself is less coveted, less watched etc. For the newcomers it's now or never. Or almost. It's the right moment for them to make their first marks, get noticed at some alternative shows like Valerie Van Der Graaf today at Blugirl, known as a place to launch a career on the right slope. Other SPS girls include Willemijn Koppelman, personal favorite of ours and probably Holland's most unqiue beauty ever (and we're not even trying to exaggerate). Spotted today at Antonio Marras, who remains one of the very best castings worldwide season after season, and later at Moschino Cheap and Chic with star-shaped sunglasses.

Before we get back to the shows and their frenzy, let's have another quick look at Rachel's editorial from Grazia shot by Louis Christopher and styled by Michela Cuasco. Rock'n'roll and romanticism are more in her character than in the clothes or the overall atmosphere of the story. It's all pretty sleek but the mood is electric, thanks to Rachel's innate skills which are always improving with each new piece of work. Fighting on another front.
