Arizona Muse @ Next

May you get her look or not, may you read our previous post on her or just looked at the pictures, it doesn’t make much difference in the end : Arizona Muse’s moment is now and it’s pretty rare to see a model getting such exposure from so many publications with different aesthetics and targets. From Vogue US to Vogue Italia to Vogue Paris and so on, you know the story already. And add on top of this list a whole issue of Dazed and Confused dedicated to her with four covers including two we absolutely love and you’ve got a pretty accurate idea of what’s going on with her right now. Though, hype does not matter much here, never did and never will and it’s purely from a visual point of view that we got smitten by Arizona’s work. We’re no fans of magazines having one model only from page one till then end (though we won’t get upset seeing a lot of new photographs of Ms Muse) and we didn’t get the way-too-easy pun chosen as Dazed’s title. But truth is we can’t really resist and we don’t even want to. With enough charisma, skills and presence to thrill us almost each time she appears in a magazine, there is always reasons that push us to drop a few line on her recent work. It’s not time to jump on our favorite outtakes from Dazed yet as we pretty much fancy the moment we will have one of the four different versions in hands and want to keep it precious till then. So, it’s rather her new spread in Spanish Vogue that keeps us up and writing tonight. Nothing screams “the editorial of the century” here but it’s purely and simply beautiful from every angle and such feeling counts a lot too. For the immediate delight and the inspiration that will remain alive after, sweetly and softly leading us to a near future we’re dreaming of.

Shot by Lachlan Bailey and styled by Melanie Huynh, with the perfect amount of flesh and bedtime flavors spread all over the story, Arizona’s magic takes us away from CK casting and its bunch of sleek silhouettes we will have forgotten when tomorrow’s daylight will knock at our door. Takes us away from this seemingly never-ending game of unknown young ladies that kept the ball going on through the last ten days (even if we shouldn’t forget the nice surprises and sweet moments, the promising girls still hiding in the fashionable Fall 2011 shadows and the models we were happy to see walking more and better). A simple story, made of simple ingredients and carrying no real innovation yet performed in the greatest way by everyone involved can do more for our eyes, mood and… soul than some more so-called innovative nonsense spread all over the place for the sake of trying to get another “shock of the new”. The vision of beauty and the inspiration we get from it when everything appears to be so natural can be so priceless when our tired bodies and minds are craving for easily lovable thinks to watch on a laptop screen between a tedious shower and a last movie before falling asleep. When our eyes are getting tired of all those who are trying too hard to get attention the wrong way, we just love things and people that got our attention without we could even notice it was going to happen. Like it hits you within a second and shakes your imagination for a while. Like we were given to see the hidden side of the moon up in the sky for a few long minutes before the bright shiny one strikes back the night after. (View the complete story, here).
