Press review
This is a special press review dedicated to Vogue US which is finally out here !
First, I must say that I actually don't like this mag so much, especially the latest issues (last one I've bought is sept'06 with Coco Rocha by Arthur Elgort). This one is not really better, especially considering it's quite thin but whatever, January mags are quite often thin. But there is something striking inside. They don't use "new" models and all you will see - besides a very nice ed with Lisa Cant, really lovely in it - is an ed by Meisel with Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Elise Crombez and... Coco Rocha ! And that's the interesting point. Coco is just much more better in that ed than all the other models. It might be a matter of taste but for me it was really stunning. When I first look at the ed I was thinking "they used the same models once again" then saw Coco and, even if she appears very often in that mag as well, thought she was truly fabulous, bringing some more substance to the ed. I was pleased and surprised cause I expected to be bored even all three models listed above have some nice work in their portfolios. Coco looked like a breathe of fresh air and I must say I'm not tired at all to see her in so many mags. I'm not tired either by her open mouth when it's correctly used and Meisel just knows how to make it right.
I'll finish with one little thing about latest Vogue US and UK. They both often lack of new models and originality but these two issues have at least something exciting: great pics of Coco ! So, thanks Miss Rocha for making my day...
